BKM Capital Partners Names Mike Valdes CFO and COO as Industrial Real Estate Platform Scales

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — June 9, 2026 — BKM Capital Partners, a vertically integrated real estate investment manager focused on small- and mid-bay light industrial properties, has named Mike Valdes as its new Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Valdes, an eight-year veteran of the firm, will succeed Bill Galipeau, who is retiring from both roles following a planned transition period.

A Planned Leadership Transition

Galipeau joined BKM Capital Partners during what the firm described as a transformative period and played a central role in building out its finance and operations infrastructure. During his tenure, he provided strategic leadership across finance, operations, and corporate growth initiatives, helping guide the firm through several major milestones and periods of expansion.

Valdes Brings Deep Finance and Operations Background

Valdes most recently served as Senior Managing Director of Finance and Accounting at BKM Capital Partners, where he oversaw the firm's accounting, tax, audit, and financial reporting functions. He also led financial planning and analysis work, including financial modeling, cash-flow forecasting, budgeting, and performance analytics.

Before joining BKM, Valdes spent nearly eight years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, advising alternative and traditional asset managers on fund operations, valuation, financial reporting, and internal controls. He is a licensed CPA and holds a dual-degree MBA, with Honors, from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management.
