PARIS — December 8, 2025 — Global investment firm Carlyle (NASDAQ: CG) announced that its Global Credit platform has provided a €290 million financing package to Mecachrome Group, a European manufacturer of high-precision components for the aerospace and defense industries. The transaction supports Mecachrome’s refinancing and future growth initiatives.

Financing to Support Growth and Refinancing

According to Carlyle, the financing package will refinance Mecachrome’s existing indebtedness and provide additional capital for organic growth and strategic acquisitions. The move strengthens the company’s financial position as it scales production capacity across its network of more than 20 manufacturing sites in Europe, North America, and North Africa.

Mecachrome Group is a tier-1 supplier of high-precision aerostructure and engine components, supporting commercial aerospace, defense, and motorsport programs. The company’s operations are designed to meet increasing demand for precision manufacturing as aircraft production rises globally.

Industry Context

Tikehau Capital, Mecachrome’s majority shareholder since 2020, has partnered with Bpifrance to drive growth in aerospace, defense, and digital security sectors. Since 2018, Tikehau has collaborated with industry firms including Airbus, Safran, Dassault Aviation, and Thales to support sector-focused investment strategies.

Carlyle’s Activity in France

The transaction highlights Carlyle Global Credit’s growing activity in the French market, following recent financings for Argon, Fitness Park, and ADDEV. Otto Alaoui, Managing Director at Carlyle Global Credit, said the deal reflects the firm’s commitment to supporting industrial suppliers as global aerospace and defense production expands.
