DALLAS, TX — Centennial, a national retail real estate owner and operator, has been awarded the management contract for The SoNo Collection, a luxury and lifestyle shopping center spanning more than 700,000 square feet in Norwalk, Connecticut, the company announced June 8, 2026.

Under the agreement, effective immediately, Centennial will assume responsibility for day-to-day operations at the property, including property management, marketing, and accounting. The announcement represents an operations-only assignment and does not involve a change in ownership of the asset.

A Premier Retail Destination on Connecticut's Gold Coast

Opened in 2019, The SoNo Collection is positioned as New England's newest large-scale retail destination and a cornerstone of the South Norwalk neighborhood. The center serves the region's "Gold Coast" market and is anchored by southern Connecticut's only Nordstrom and the state's only Bloomingdale's. Additional tenants include Apple, Zara, H&M, Sephora, and Arhaus.

The property will remain open and fully operational throughout the management transition, according to Centennial.

"We are proud to have been selected and entrusted to lead The SoNo Collection into its next chapter," said Paul Kurzawa, president of Centennial. "This is a truly exceptional asset that has redefined the retail experience in Connecticut. Our focus will be on building upon the center's strong foundation, driving sustained traffic growth, and deepening its role as a community anchor."

Centennial Deepens Northeast Retail Real Estate Presence

The SoNo Collection assignment adds to an existing cluster of Centennial-managed properties across southern New England. The firm already manages Connecticut Post Mall in Milford, Connecticut; Trumbull Mall in Trumbull, Connecticut; and Providence Place in Providence, Rhode Island.

Nationally, Centennial operates more than 25 million square feet of retail destinations across 18 states. The firm, described as "powered by Lincoln," operates as the retail platform of Lincoln Property Company, one of the nation's largest privately held real estate firms. In addition to investing in real estate and operating its own portfolio, Centennial provides a full-service property management, leasing, and advisory platform serving institutional and private owners nationwide.

Operational Strategy: Merchandising, Placemaking, and Data-Driven Leasing

Centennial said it will bring its third-party management platform to The SoNo Collection, combining strategic merchandising, experiential marketing, customized placemaking, and data-driven leasing with what the firm describes as a commitment to community connection. The firm's in-house teams are described as experienced in guiding high-quality retail assets through evolving market conditions while positioning them for long-term success.
