SINGAPORE — ESR Group has appointed Justin Gabbani as Group Head of Fund Management, effective August 2026, the company announced May 19. The hire adds senior leadership to ESR's fund management platform as the Asia-Pacific-focused real estate investment firm works to expand its capital partner relationships and deployment capabilities across the region.

Role and Responsibilities

Based in Singapore, Gabbani will lead ESR's fund management platform with responsibility spanning fund performance, product strategy and capital raising. His role focuses on strengthening investor engagement, disciplined capital deployment and active asset management, according to ESR. The company said the position is also charged with supporting scalable execution across ESR's platform to drive long-term value creation for capital partners.

The appointment reflects ESR's stated focus on deepening capital partner relationships, generating investment opportunities and ensuring alignment between capital, investments and operating capabilities.

Gabbani's Background

Gabbani brings more than 20 years of experience across strategy, investment management, capital markets, development and corporate finance in key Asia-Pacific markets, including Australia, China, India, Japan and Singapore, ESR said.

He joins ESR from Lendlease, where he held several senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer, Investment Management. Prior to that, he served as Chief Executive Officer, Asia, working closely with institutional investors across multiple real estate and alternative sectors. He also served as Chair of the Lendlease Global Commercial REIT, which is listed in Singapore.

Context

ESR said the appointment underscores its continued focus on sustainable growth and strong alignment between its capital, investment and operating functions. Gabbani's appointment takes effect in August 2026.
