Heitman Completes Largest Industrial Real Estate Acquisition in Fukuoka with 628,968-SF Warehouse Real Estate Deal
Heitman has completed the real estate acquisition of the Tosu Central Distribution Center, a 628,968-square-foot warehouse real estate facility located within one of Kyushu's prime logistics hubs. The transaction represents the largest single-asset logistics deal in the greater Fukuoka market.
The industrial real estate acquisition was executed by Heitman on behalf of its funds under management and strategic capital partners Mitsubishi HC Capital Realty Inc. and SMFL MIRAI Partners Company, Limited, a strategic subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company, Limited.
Warehouse Real Estate Facility Details
The Tosu Central Distribution Center comprises 17,676 tsubo (628,968 square feet) of leasable space across North and South wings. The industrial real estate facility features pillarless truck berths designed for side-by-side loading to reduce waiting times.
The warehouse real estate property holds CASBEE A certification and includes sustainability features such as more than 6,200 solar panels expected to generate more than 4,400,000 kWh of renewable electricity annually.
