JLL Arranges $27.9M Financing for Bristol Plaza Retail Center in Connecticut
BRISTOL, Conn. — May 18, 2026 — JLL has arranged $27.9 million in financing for Bristol Plaza, a 263,829-square-foot grocery-anchored shopping center located at 641 Farmington Ave. in Bristol, Connecticut. The firm secured the five-year, fixed-rate loan through Voya on behalf of the borrower, Sterling Organization.
Financing Details
The debt advisory work was led by JLL Capital Markets' Debt Advisory team, which included Senior Managing Director Chris Drew, Managing Director Henry Schaffer, Senior Director Michael DiCosimo, and Analysts Aaliyah St. Louis and Preston Bacon.
"Bristol Plaza represented a unique opportunity for a well-performing grocery-anchored retail center with a robust credit tenant lineup and tangible near-term upside," Drew said in a statement.
Property Overview
Bristol Plaza sits along Route 6, a corridor that carries approximately 23,200 vehicles per day. The shopping center is 93.1% leased and anchored by Stop & Shop and TJ Maxx, which have operated at the property for 22 and 31 years, respectively.
Stop & Shop generates more than one million annual visits and is ranked as the most visited grocery store within five miles of the property, according to JLL. Junior anchors TJ Maxx and Burlington together account for more than 40% of the property's gross income. Additional tenants at the center include Dollar Tree, Five Below, Webster Bank, and Starbucks.
The property serves a trade area of more than 107,000 people within a five-mile radius, with average household incomes exceeding $116,000. Bristol Plaza is also located near the global headquarters of ESPN, which employs more than 3,600 people at its Bristol campus.
