LaSalle Investment Management Expands Marc Fauchille's Role to Lead Asset Management in France and Luxembourg
PARIS — LaSalle Investment Management has expanded the responsibilities of Marc Fauchille, Head of Development and Repurposing, Europe, to include leadership of the firm's asset management operations in France and Luxembourg, the company announced Sept. 23, 2026.
Fauchille succeeds Loïc Sanières, who is retiring from LaSalle after more than 30 years with the firm. Sanières played a central role in building and leading LaSalle's asset management platform in France.
Expanded Scope Across Europe
In his expanded capacity, Fauchille will oversee the management and performance of LaSalle's assets in France and Luxembourg, while continuing to lead the firm's European Development and Repurposing platform and its asset management function in the UK. He remains based in LaSalle's Paris office and retains his seat on LaSalle's European Asset Management Board.
The announcement follows the recent appointment of Alexandre Arhuis-Grumbach as President of LaSalle France, who also continues as Head of Transactions Europe. Together, Arhuis-Grumbach and Fauchille cover the full investment lifecycle in the French market — from acquisitions through development, repositioning and long-term asset performance.
Fauchille worked closely with Sanières through the transition period to ensure continuity in LaSalle's asset management operations.
Fauchille's Background and Track Record
Fauchille joined LaSalle in 2019 as Development and Asset Management Director for France and Luxembourg, having previously spent 10 years at JLL in project and development services. He is a graduate of ESTP and HEC Paris.
Since 2022, he has led LaSalle's specialist European Development and Repurposing platform, which the firm describes as focused on larger, more complex projects with higher return potential. Among the major projects completed under his leadership is the redevelopment of Bergère x Paris, which was fully let to Accenture as its sole occupier.
Beverley Kilbride, Global Head of Asset and Portfolio Management Transformation at LaSalle Investment Management, said: "Marc has an outstanding track record of delivering some of our most complex development and repurposing projects across Europe. In this expanded role, he will bring his asset management, development and repurposing expertise to bear across our assets and accounts in two markets he knows exceptionally well."
Kilbride also acknowledged Sanières' tenure. "I would also like to offer my sincere thanks to Loïc for his outstanding contribution over more than three decades at LaSalle. He has played an instrumental role in building our asset management platform in France and has been a trusted colleague to many across the business. We wish him every happiness in his retirement."
Fauchille described the expanded remit as reflecting a more integrated approach to investment management. "Taking on asset management for France and Luxembourg, alongside my existing responsibilities for the UK and for development across Europe, reflects the increasingly integrated way we manage our investments across their full lifecycle — from repositioning and development through to long-term asset management performance," he said. "I look forward to continuing the work Loïc has led so successfully in France, and to working with colleagues across the business to deliver strong outcomes for our clients."
Strategic Context: European Office Markets and Active Asset Management
The leadership change comes as European office markets present a more complex operating environment for asset managers. In Luxembourg, office take-up fell 50% to 51,789 square metres in the first half of 2026, with average deal size declining to 602 square metres from 1,035 square metres over the prior five-year period. Despite the slowdown in leasing activity, vacancy in Luxembourg stood at just 3.6% at the end of June 2026 — well below the European average of approximately 9.5% — as limited high-quality supply continues to constrain available options for occupiers. Prime rents in Luxembourg reached approximately €43 per square metre per month, with a new central-business-district record of €55 per square metre per month reported.
The constrained supply environment means that asset managers must compete for a smaller pool of active occupiers by differentiating buildings on quality, energy performance, amenities, location and floorplate flexibility. LaSalle's decision to link its development and repurposing expertise more directly to ongoing asset management reflects that dynamic: value creation in the current market depends increasingly on upgrading and repositioning existing buildings rather than relying on broad market appreciation.
LaSalle's institutional business has remained active in European offices during 2026. The firm secured a €450 million custom-account mandate from a German pension fund to invest in continental European offices, with a focus on France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain. LaSalle also expanded a UK local-authority pension mandate to £1 billion once fully deployed.
