PREIT Signs Six National Retail Leases at Cherry Hill Mall, Including Crocs, True Religion, Aritzia and gorjana
PREIT has announced six new national retail leases totaling nearly 30,000 square feet at Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill, N.J., adding Aritzia, Crocs, True Religion, gorjana, Timberland Partners and Indochino to the property's tenant lineup on a staggered opening timeline that began in late June and extends through the 2027 holiday season.
The leases represent what PREIT described as one of the strongest collections of new retailers the mall has attracted in years, ahead of the property's 65th anniversary in October.
Aritzia Anchors the New Leasing Activity
Aritzia accounts for the largest share of the new leased space, with the Vancouver-based fashion retailer signing a 20,340-square-foot lease. The store will include an A-OK Cafe, the brand's in-store coffee concept, and is described by PREIT as one of the largest new tenant commitments at Cherry Hill Mall in recent years.
The remaining five tenants will occupy inline specialty spaces:
- Crocs opened a 2,090-square-foot location at the mall in late June.
- Timberland is scheduled to open an 1,800-square-foot store this summer.
- True Religion is targeting a 2,230-square-foot store for early next year.
- Indochino will open a 1,200-square-foot made-to-measure showroom by the holiday season.
- gorjana has signed a 1,107-square-foot lease with an opening targeted for the 2027 holiday season.
PREIT Cites Retailer Confidence in the Asset
"Retailers at this level are choosing their next locations very carefully right now, and the fact that six of them chose Cherry Hill Mall in the same leasing period speaks volumes," said Paula Charles, Senior Vice President of Leasing at PREIT. "We're proud to see this momentum continue even beyond the new leases and tenants the property has added over the past few years. For shoppers, it means more of the brands they want in one place and an experience that keeps getting better every time they visit."
PREIT positions Cherry Hill Mall as the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey region's top shopping destination.
Broader Leasing and Expansion Activity at Cherry Hill Mall
The six new leases are part of a wider wave of leasing and tenant reinvestment activity at the property. DICK'S House of Sport, which PREIT described as the largest single-tenant addition to Cherry Hill Mall in more than a decade, is under construction and scheduled to welcome its first customers later this year. DoneRight Doner Kebab is also on track to open by the end of the summer.
Several existing tenants have also expanded their footprints at the mall. Spencer's, which has maintained a presence at Cherry Hill Mall since it opened in 1961, relocated to a larger space in late May. Pandora has moved into a bigger location, and Lululemon is planning a relocation to an expanded store before the holiday season.
The new leases follow a series of openings over the past two years that included Alo Yoga, Coach, Columbia Capital, Dr. Martens, Kendra Scott, Lacoste, OFFLINE by Aerie, POP MART, Rowan, Signature Workspace and Suki Hana, among others.
