Reframe Holdings has acquired Murrells Inlet Storage, a 590-unit, 79,300-square-foot climate-controlled self-storage facility located on Highway 17 Bypass S in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, the firm announced June 19, 2026. Following the closing, Reframe oversaw the property's rebranding to Public Storage.

Property Details

Built in 2022, Murrells Inlet Storage spans nine single-story buildings with 28 parking spaces. The facility was previously self-managed prior to its acquisition by Reframe Holdings. Financial terms of the transaction, including purchase price, price per square foot, and cap rate, were not disclosed.

Rebranding and Operational Transition

Upon closing, Reframe Holdings moved to rebrand the property under the Public Storage flag. The transition from self-managed operations to a national brand was noted by the firm. The Murrells Inlet acquisition follows a previously announced acquisition of a storage facility in nearby Pawleys Island, which was also rebranded to Public Storage following closing.

Broader Platform Context

The Murrells Inlet acquisition comes as Reframe Holdings has been building its self-storage platform. The firm previously announced a $500 million partnership with Centerbridge Partners focused on self-storage investments, and also closed a $350 million debt facility with JPMorgan Chase.
