Zurich, Switzerland (Dec. 10, 2025)Swiss Life Asset Managers has completed the acquisition of GHZ Gewerbe- und Handelszentrum Schlieren AG, the owner and developer of the Wagi Life Science Campus in Schlieren, the firm announced. The transaction strengthens Swiss Life Asset Managers’ position in life science real estate. The Schlieren location and all employees will be retained.

Strategic Real Estate Acquisition in Schlieren

Founded in 1984, GHZ Gewerbe- und Handelszentrum Schlieren AG is a real estate company based in Schlieren. It owns and develops the Wagi site, a leading life science location in the greater Zurich area. The site encompasses approximately 143,400 square meters of rental space and hosts around 250 companies and institutions employing more than 2,400 people.

The acquisition, completed on Dec. 10, 2025, aligns with Swiss Life Asset Managers’ investment focus on the “4Ls” — living, logistics, light industrial, and life science & tech. The contracting parties agreed not to disclose the sale price.

Operational Continuity and Site Development

All GHZ employees and the Schlieren location will remain in place following the transaction. Walter Krummenacher, Managing Director of GHZ, will continue to oversee the development of the Wagi site and remain the key contact for tenants. Paolo Di Stefano, Head of Real Estate Switzerland at Swiss Life Asset Managers, said the firm looks forward to continuing the site’s development with the existing GHZ team, noting the ongoing importance of life science real estate to the economy and society.
