Regal London has appointed Ashley Fletcher to its Board of Directors as General Counsel, the company announced May 5, elevating a senior legal executive who played a central role in two of the firm's significant transactions in 2025.

Fletcher joined Arada London in 2022 as Head of Legal and has since advised on and helped deliver the firm's acquisition of Regal London — which brought Arada London into the Arada — as well as the subsequent acquisition of Thameside West, a 47-acre riverside site in Newham. His appointment to the board reflects the company's stated focus on building senior leadership capacity as it scales its London development platform.

Board Appointment and Legal Oversight

In his new role, Fletcher will lead the legal function across the business, supporting transactions, development activity, and the continued progression of the company's pipeline. He will work closely with the leadership team as projects advance.

Prior to joining Arada London, Fletcher spent several years at international law firm Squire Patton Boggs and held an in-house position at Balfour Beatty Investments, where he worked on a range of development schemes.

Jonathan Seal, CEO of Arada London, commented:

"Ashley's appointment reflects Arada London's continued investment in senior leadership and its focus on building a robust platform for long-term growth. Ashley has been an asset to Arada London. His judgement continues to be invaluable as we continue to scale the business and navigate an evolving regulatory landscape. He will play a key role in ensuring that we deliver on our ambitions."

Fletcher commented on his new role:

"I am delighted to join the Board of Arada London at such an important time for the business. With a strong pipeline of significant projects ahead, there is a real sense of momentum and ambition. I am excited to play a part in the next phase of growth as we continue towards becoming London's leading developer."

Expanding Pipeline Across London Boroughs

The appointment comes as Arada London manages an active and growing development pipeline. The company currently has a number of significant projects underway, including three in Southwark and three in Camden, with a total pipeline exceeding 15,000 homes across London boroughs.

The 2025 acquisition of Thameside West added a 47-acre riverside site in Newham to the portfolio. Fletcher was directly involved in structuring and executing that transaction, as well as the earlier Regal London acquisition that brought the platform under the Arada Group umbrella.

Arada London describes itself as a full-lifecycle developer, operating across development, construction, customer care, and asset management. The company also runs on-site construction academies aimed at expanding career pathways in the building trades across the capital.

Arada Group Background

The Arada Group, founded in 2017 and headquartered in the UAE with additional operations in Australia, acquired Regal London in 2025. The group operates across a range of sectors including retail, hospitality, fitness, wellness, education, and social impact, alongside its core residential and mixed-use development business.

Arada London has stated a commitment to progress toward net zero, employing modern methods of construction and innovative technologies to reduce environmental impact. The company works in partnership with landowners, local councils, financial institutions, and community stakeholders across its project portfolio.
