Associated Bank announced Thursday it will relocate its Minneapolis office to the 43rd floor of the IDS Center, leasing the entire floor at 80 S 8th St and more than doubling the space it currently occupies at the PwC Tower. Construction on the new office is expected to begin in August 2025, with the move planned for Spring 2026.

The Wisconsin-based bank, which operates as Associated Bank (NYSE: ASB), said the new office will accommodate approximately 100 colleagues across commercial banking, commercial real estate, and relationship management teams serving clients across the region.

A Full-Floor Commitment at an Iconic Downtown Tower

"The IDS Center is an iconic symbol of Minneapolis — you don't need an address to know where it is," said Paul Schmidt, Twin Cities market president at Associated Bank. "As the city continues to experience a renaissance, we're proud to invest in its momentum by bringing our team to this prominent downtown location while offering enhanced convenience and accessibility for our clients and colleagues."

Twin Cities Expansion Extends Beyond the 43rd Floor

The 43rd-floor office lease is part of a broader expansion by Associated Bank within the IDS Center complex. The bank is also currently constructing a new branch location in the IDS Center Crystal Court, which it expects to open by October 2025.

"Minneapolis is a priority market for us, and we're excited to play a role in drawing people and energy back into the heart of Minneapolis," said Phillip Trier, executive vice president and head of corporate and commercial banking at Associated Bank. "This expanded footprint reflects our confidence in the city's future and our commitment to serving clients with greater convenience and capacity."

In addition to the IDS Center locations, Associated Bank maintains office space in St. Louis Park and operates 15 branches across the Greater Twin Cities area.
