BOSTON — Cabot Properties, a Boston-based investor, developer, and operator of logistics properties, announced a series of senior leadership promotions on March 17, 2026, as the firm deepens its management bench amid continued expansion of its industrial real estate platform across the United States, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Leadership Appointments Reflect Succession Planning at Cabot Properties

The firm announced four promotions affecting its legal, compliance, and investment leadership functions. Kara Brown has been elevated to Chief Administrative Officer, adding to her existing responsibilities as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Secretary. In the expanded role, Brown will continue to oversee legal, compliance, insurance, and strategic human capital initiatives, the firm said.

Justin Harvey and Mike McCarthy have been promoted to Co-Chief Investment Officers of Cabot's Value Funds, assuming regional leadership responsibilities across Europe and the United States, respectively. Both will continue to serve as Deputy CIOs of Cabot's Value Funds VI and VII.

Damian Bailey has been named Chief Investment Officer of Cabot's Core Funds, succeeding Charlie Forbes following the deployment of Core Fund III. The transition was described by the firm as part of a planned leadership succession. Forbes will move to the role of Vice Chairman of Investment Committees for the Core and Value Funds, where he will continue to provide strategic oversight and investment guidance.

"These promotions and leadership appointments reflect a strategic and thoughtful approach to developing and empowering the depth of cycle-tested talent we've built at all levels across the organization," said Franz Colloredo-Mansfeld, Chairman and CEO of Cabot Properties. "By maintaining continuity in leadership with our highly experienced and capable team, we are positioning Cabot for sustained long-term growth and ensuring consistent service and value-add to our investors and stakeholders."

Promotions Follow Recent Operational Changes

The series of appointments follows earlier internal moves, including the promotions of Brad Otis to Chief Operating Officer and Mike Gebo to Head of Asset Management. Taken together, the changes represent a broad reshaping of Cabot's senior leadership structure across investment, operations, and administration.

The timing coincides with the full deployment of Core Fund III, which triggered the planned transition of Bailey into the Core Funds CIO role and Forbes into an advisory capacity on investment committees. The firm did not disclose financial terms associated with any of the fund vehicles in this announcement.

Industrial Real Estate Platform Spans 240 Million Square Feet

Founded in 1986, Cabot Properties describes itself as one of the first real estate firms to provide institutional investors with access to the industrial property sector. The firm has invested more than $17 billion in logistics real estate, served over 4,300 tenants, and operated more than 1,750 buildings totaling over 240 million square feet.

Cabot is headquartered in Boston and maintains offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, London, Amsterdam, Sydney, Tokyo, Munich, Houston, New York, Orlando, and New Jersey.

The firm did not announce any new fund vehicles or transactions in connection with the leadership appointments.
