Cerberus Capital Management Appoints Nate Fick as Chief Strategy Officer for Equities

NEW YORK — December 3, 2025Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. announced the appointment of former U.S. Ambassador Nathaniel “Nate” Fick as Chief Strategy Officer for Equities and Senior Managing Director.

Fick to Support Cerberus’ Equity Strategies

The global alternative investment firm, which manages approximately $70 billion in assets, said Fick will focus on global investment activities for its private equity and venture capital strategies. His role includes supporting Cerberus’ Supply Chain strategy, which targets investments advancing national and economic security. Fick will work closely with Chris Darby, Global Head of Venture Investments, and the broader investment leadership team.

Ambassador Fick’s Background

Before joining Cerberus, Fick served as Ambassador at Large for Cyberspace and Digital Policy at the U.S. Department of State, where he led American diplomacy on technology issues including cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies. He previously held senior roles in the private sector, including General Manager of Elastic Security and Chief Executive Officer of Endgame, a cybersecurity software company acquired by Elastic. Earlier in his career, Fick was an operating partner at Bessemer Venture Partners.

Fick began his career as a Marine Corps infantry and reconnaissance officer, completing combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, the Harvard Kennedy School, and Harvard Business School.
