DWS Acquires Berlin Logistics Campus From PGIM and Panattoni

FRANKFURT, Dec. 11, 2025DWS has acquired a 36,500-square-meter logistics campus in Berlin’s Marzahn district from PGIM and developer Panattoni, according to a joint announcement. The financial details of the transaction were undisclosed.

Details of the Acquisition

The property, completed in 2023, is based on Panattoni’s City Dock concept, which offers flexible property solutions in urban centers. It combines smaller City Dock units with three larger logistics units and is fully leased under long-term contracts to a diversified mix of established companies. The asset has achieved DGNB Gold certification.

Located about 20 minutes from Berlin’s Alexanderplatz, the site provides access to major transport routes and nearby industrial and commercial areas, positioning it as an urban logistics hub.

Markus Wickenträger, Head of Portfolio Management European Real Estate at DWS, said the firm was active in the real estate transaction market in 2025, securing investment opportunities for its institutional funds and planning to continue pursuing acquisitions in the coming year.

Nabil Mabed, Senior Portfolio Manager at PGIM’s real estate business, said the transaction underscored the continued attractiveness of high-quality logistics properties in strong urban locations and reflected PGIM’s ability to create sustainable value for investors. PGIM acquired the property together with Panattoni in 2020 under its European Value-Add strategy to develop a last-mile logistics facility.
