HINCKLEY, England — May 27, 2026 — Housebuilder Vistry is set to team up with social provider emh to deliver 125 affordable homes as part of a 475-unit mixed-tenure development on a 54-acre site in Hinckley, Leicestershire, the company announced Wednesday.

Construction on the wider Millers Place scheme — situated to the east of Stoke Road and north of Normandy Way — got under way in March.

Tenure Mix and Affordable Housing Delivery

Under the agreement, emh — formerly known as East Midlands Homes — will acquire 125 houses for the affordable market, with a significant proportion available through affordable rent and shared ownership. The remaining homes will be split between the private rental sector and open-market sale, with approximately 20% designated for PRS and around 50% to be marketed through Vistry's Bovis Homes, Linden Homes, and Countryside Homes brands.

Andy Reynolds, Managing Director of Vistry South East Midlands, said: "Partnering with emh at Millers Place is a major step forward for Hinckley, helping to accelerate delivery of affordable homes alongside a balanced mix of tenures. I look forward to working with emh on this important project and many more over the coming years."

Chris Jones, Deputy CEO at emh, said: "We're proud to be partnering with Vistry to bring these new affordable homes to Hinckley. This partnership will help us achieve our aim of creating sustainable, high-quality homes which meet the needs of local people. I look forward to seeing the scheme progress over the coming months and welcoming residents to their new homes."

Modern Methods of Construction and Regional Supply Chains

All homes at Millers Place will be constructed using modern methods of construction, including timber frame panels. The use of locally manufactured timber frame panels from the Vistry Works factory in Bardon will support regional supply chains as the development progresses, the firm says.
