King Street Properties Signs 8,775 SF Lab Lease at Mesa Labworks in San Diego with Interfacial Consultants

King Street Properties announced that Interfacial Consultants LLC, a subsidiary of Nagase & Co., Ltd., has signed a lease for an 8,775 square foot turn-key suite at Mesa Labworks in San Diego, marking the Wisconsin-based advanced materials firm's first California location. The lease was announced in April 2026.

Interfacial Consultants, which develops advanced materials and manufacturing process platforms serving transportation, construction, medical, and consumer markets, selected the Sorrento Mesa campus for its move-in ready infrastructure.

A Lab That Is Ready Built to Begin Operations

Adrienne Davenport, Vice President of Research and Development at Interfacial, commented on the firm's selection of Mesa Labworks.

"Over many years, the NAGASE Group has manufactured industrial enzymes, food ingredients, cosmetic ingredients, pharmaceuticals ingredients and medicals using enzymes and enzyme reaction technology," said Davenport. "We're excited to open this laboratory on the Mesa Labworks campus and have a lab that is ready built to begin operations on day one. This laboratory is the first bio-material R&D organization in the NAGASE Group to have cutting-edge robotics and AI technology and expertise and makes it possible to dramatically decrease the amount of time needed to search for microorganisms and enzymes and carry out iterative testing."

Mesa Labworks Campus

The 62,000 square foot Mesa Labworks campus features move-in ready suites ranging from 8,000 to 15,000 square feet, with a 55%/45% lab-to-office ratio. Additional specifications include modular lab bench design for operational flexibility, 16-foot open-to-structure ceilings in office areas, and 25 watts per square foot of power capacity. Campus amenities include reservable conference rooms and a central courtyard with outdoor workspaces.

The campus is located in Sorrento Mesa, San Diego.
