NEW YORK — April 13, 2026 — Lument has hired Frank Hornung as a senior director in its Seattle office, the firm announced, adding an experienced originator to expand its multifamily real estate production across the Pacific Northwest.

Hornung will be responsible for originating Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD/FHA, bridge, and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) loans for multifamily clients in the region and beyond. The hire reflects Lument's stated intent to deepen its presence in a market the firm describes as "increasingly active."

Hornung's Background in Multifamily Real Estate and Commercial Real Estate Financing

Hornung brings approximately 25 years of commercial real estate experience to the role, having originated more than $3 billion in loans over the course of his career. His background spans both the lending and operating sides of the industry — a combination Lument cited as central to his hire.

As founder of IPM Investments, Hornung acquired and repositioned value-add multifamily properties across the Pacific Northwest and Sunbelt markets, giving him firsthand experience as a sponsor navigating financing decisions.

"Lument's growth and comprehensive financing platform make it a strong place to deliver meaningful value to clients," Hornung said in a statement. "The firm's reputation for outstanding client service and creative solutions aligns with my approach, and I'm eager to help broaden our work with sponsors across the Pacific Northwest."

Lument's Conventional Multifamily Production Strategy

The hire falls under Lument's conventional multifamily production division, led by Ian Monk, head of conventional production. Monk said Hornung's dual background as a lender and operator positions him to address sponsor needs in the region.

"The Pacific Northwest is an increasingly active market, and we look forward to seeing Frank accelerate our momentum in that region as he uses his firsthand understanding of sponsor needs and his strategic financing expertise to deliver tremendous value and results for our clients," Monk said.

Lument offers a range of capital solutions including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, USDA, and balance sheet financing, as well as bridge loans and CMBS products. The firm also provides real estate investment sales, investment banking, and investment management services.
