Oxford Properties Group Names Sara Queen Executive Vice President and Head of US Operations
NEW YORK — Oxford Properties Group has named Sara Queen as Executive Vice President and Head of US, the firm announced April 30, 2026. Queen, who most recently served as Head of Real Estate Equity at MetLife Investment Management, will assume the role on July 20, 2026, and will be based in New York.
Queen will report directly to Eric Plesman, Oxford's President and Chief Executive Officer, and will join the firm's global Executive and Investment Committees. In her new capacity, she will hold overall responsibility for the strategic leadership, performance, and growth of Oxford's US operations — a market that accounts for approximately $19 billion in assets under management and roughly 40% of the firm's global portfolio across equity and credit investments.
A Veteran of Large-Scale Real Estate Platforms
Queen brings more than 30 years of US real estate experience spanning asset management, investment, and operations. At MetLife Investment Management, she led a $38 billion real estate platform with a team of more than 150 professionals across seven offices. During her tenure, she oversaw investment strategy and execution, portfolio and asset management, and development, while helping drive double-digit growth in gross assets under management and annual revenue. She also led approximately $11 billion in real estate acquisitions during that period.
Prior to MetLife Investment Management, Queen held senior leadership roles at Mapletree, Brookfield Properties, and Clarion Partners. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University's Master of Science in Real Estate Development program since 2011.
"The US represents Oxford's largest investment market, so it was absolutely essential for us to find a leader with a track record as impressive as Sara Queen's," said Eric Plesman, Oxford's President and CEO. "What truly stood out in Sara is not only her cultural fit, but her ability to lead people to help drive performance. Her breadth of experience, deep asset management, operational, development and investment expertise and proven ability to navigate through market cycles make her the right person to lead our team and US platform into its next chapter."
"Oxford has built an exceptional US platform, supported by a strategic investment mindset, landmark development projects and a strong operational and asset management foundation," Queen said. "Oxford's long-term perspective and commitment to its people strongly align with how I've led throughout my career. I'm looking forward to building on the momentum in the US and leading the next evolution of this incredible platform."
Oxford's Recent US Activity
The appointment comes as Oxford Properties Group has been actively expanding its US footprint. The firm recently entered the US open-air retail market through the acquisition of a 1 million-square-foot portfolio in Austin. Oxford also kicked off 2026 by announcing the full $2.45 billion capitalization of 70 Hudson Yards, an office development in New York City that will serve as the future headquarters of Deloitte, occupying approximately 800,000 square feet.
Industry Involvement and Board Service
Beyond her professional roles, Queen is active in several real estate and civic organizations. She currently serves on the Urban Land Institute's Global Executive Board and as a Global Governing Trustee, and is involved with WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate. She is a member of the Vestry of Trinity Church in New York City, participating in its investment committee that oversees a $5 billion endowment. She also recently served as board chair for Solar One, an organization focused on creating more sustainable and resilient urban environments.
Leadership Transition
The appointment of a dedicated Head of US underscores the scale and strategic importance of Oxford Properties Group's American operations. With approximately $19 billion in US assets managed alongside its platform companies, the firm's domestic portfolio spans equity and credit investments. Queen's start date is July 20, 2026.
