Reid Goetz Joins Crescent Real Estate as Managing Director to Lead Industrial Platform Expansion

FORT WORTH, Texas — Crescent Real Estate has hired Reid Goetz as Managing Director, Industrial, tapping a veteran of one of North Texas's largest industrial platforms to lead the firm's expansion into the sector, the company announced Aug. 11, 2026.
Goetz will be based in Crescent's Fort Worth office and will oversee the firm's newly dedicated industrial investment and development platform. He brings more than 20 years of industrial real estate experience to the role, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Industrial Team Lead at Hillwood Investment Properties' AllianceTexas development — a 27,000-acre master-planned community that has delivered more than 53 million square feet of development to date.
Goetz's Background at AllianceTexas
During his tenure at Hillwood, Goetz played a leadership role across industrial development, leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, master planning, and strategic initiatives. He was directly involved in more than 26 million square feet of industrial transactions and helped oversee the delivery of more than 14 million square feet of new industrial development.
Goetz also led Hillwood's data center strategy at AllianceTexas, including powered-land transactions, joint-venture data center development, and mission-critical utility infrastructure planning. His work in that area included a role in bringing a $1 billion data center to AllianceTexas in 2015, providing direct experience in hyperscale data center site selection and development. His tenant relationships at AllianceTexas spanned global occupiers including Amazon, Walmart, Meta, Citigroup, Charles Schwab, Cargill, Callaway Golf, and Henry Schein, among others.
Crescent's Strategic Rationale
The hire marks a significant strategic expansion for Crescent Real Estate, a Fort Worth-based firm that manages $4.4 billion in assets under management. The company has historically focused on office, mixed-use, multifamily, and hospitality assets — including its flagship 1.3 million-square-foot mixed-use complex, The Crescent, in Uptown Dallas — and views industrial as a complementary addition to its existing platform.
Crescent recently closed its GP Invitation Fund IV at $241.5 million, capital the firm uses to co-invest alongside institutional partners. The firm has an active development pipeline that includes a second office tower at Crescent Fort Worth anchored by JPMorgan Chase, a 30-story multifamily project in Uptown Dallas, and a 31-story luxury apartment building at 2811 Maple. In early 2026, Crescent arranged a $596 million floating-rate CMBS loan on The Crescent's office towers and atrium, with Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan as lenders.
Conrad Suszynski, Chief Executive Officer of Crescent, framed the industrial push as a natural outgrowth of the firm's existing capabilities.
"Industrial is a natural and compelling extension of Crescent's platform," Suszynski said. "We have long believed that Crescent's development expertise, investment discipline, operating capabilities, and market relationships position us well to pursue opportunities in the industrial sector. Reid Goetz brings the experience, judgment, and relationships needed to help us execute that strategy in a thoughtful and meaningful way."
Christopher Goff, Senior Managing Director at Crescent, cited Goetz's track record across multiple disciplines as central to the decision.
"Reid is a proven industrial real estate leader with deep market knowledge and a strong track record across development, leasing, investment, and strategic execution," Goff said. "His addition strengthens our team and creates an exciting opportunity to expand Crescent's capabilities on behalf of our investors and partners."
Andrew Lombardi, also a Senior Managing Director at Crescent, pointed specifically to Goetz's experience at AllianceTexas as a differentiating factor.
"Reid Goetz's experience at AllianceTexas gives him a unique perspective on large-scale industrial development, tenant relationships, infrastructure planning, and long-term value creation," Lombardi said. "Adding a leader of Reid's caliber is an important step in building a best-in-class industrial platform that complements Crescent's existing strengths."
Goetz on Joining Crescent
Goetz said he sees Crescent's development and operational history as a foundation for building a differentiated industrial platform.
"Crescent has an outstanding reputation as an investor, developer, and operator, and I believe the firm is well positioned to build a differentiated industrial platform," Goetz said. "I look forward to working with the entire Crescent team as we pursue opportunities in this increasingly dynamic and critically important asset class."
Industrial Sector Context
Crescent cited several long-term demand drivers underpinning its decision to enter the industrial sector, including supply chain modernization, e-commerce growth, manufacturing reshoring, data center expansion, and population growth across its target markets. The firm said it views industrial real estate as a natural extension of its history of creating value through development, investment, and operations across multiple property types.
The North Texas industrial market where Goetz built much of his career continues to see significant development activity. Hillwood recently broke ground on Alliance Westport 12, a 1.2 million-square-foot speculative industrial building in Fort Worth with completion expected in the first quarter of 2027, and has additional large-format Class A spec buildings under development in the Alliance submarket.
Crescent's industrial initiative will focus on long-term demand drivers and growth opportunities on behalf of the firm's investors and partners, according to the announcement. The platform will be headquartered in Fort Worth, where Crescent received the Fort Worth Chamber's Chairman's Spirit of Enterprise Award in March 2026.
