Thylander Completes TGP VIII With Four Residential Real Estate Acquisitions Across Greater Copenhagen

COPENHAGEN, June 30, 2026 — Danish real estate investment firm Thylander has completed four residential real estate acquisitions for its TGP VIII fund, bringing the vehicle to fully invested status with 318 apartments spanning more than 25,000 square meters across Greater Copenhagen, the firm announced.
The four investments are located in Vallensbaek, Skovlunde, Søborg and Hvidovre. Three of the four were sourced off-market, according to Thylander, underlining the firm's ability to access attractive residential opportunities in the market.
Property-by-Property Breakdown of the Real Estate Acquisitions
The Vallensbæk property comprises 83 residential units across 7,733 square meters and is located directly adjacent to Vallensbæk Station, providing access to S-train connections to central Copenhagen.
The Skovlunde asset comprises 59 residential units across 3,646 square meters, adding exposure to what Thylander describes as a well-established residential area in Greater Copenhagen with strong connectivity and access to everyday amenities.
The Søborg property comprises 42 residential units across 4,099 square meters. Thylander cited the location's limited land availability and low levels of new development as factors supporting the acquisition.
The Hvidovre asset is the largest of the four, comprising 134 residential units across 9,666 square meters. The property is located next to Friheden Station, offering access to the S-train network.
All four properties are situated within the Copenhagen Finger Plan. Thylander stated that this alignment reflects the fund's investment strategy, which focuses on residential assets in well-connected suburban markets supported by urban densification and infrastructure development.
TGP VIII Now Fully Invested With Nine-Asset Portfolio
With the completion of these four transactions, TGP VIII now comprises nine residential assets across Greater Copenhagen. The firm reported a total portfolio value of approximately 3 billion Danish kroner. Financial terms of the individual acquisitions were not disclosed.
Michael Brichmann, Partner and COO at Thylander, commented on the milestone in a statement accompanying the announcement.
"With TGP VIII now fully invested, we have reached an important achievement for the fund. We are confident in the quality of the portfolio we have built and its long-term fundamentals. Our focus now turns to active asset management to support sustained performance," Brichmann said.
Advisers
Thylander was advised on the transactions by Bruun & Hjejle, Moalem Weitemeyer, Deloitte, COWI, Rambøll, CBRE and Colliers. Adviser roles for individual transactions were not specified.
