Azora Appoints Anne-Jan Jager as Managing Director to Drive International Real Estate Expansion

Madrid-based real estate investment firm Azora has appointed Anne-Jan Jager as Managing Director within its Business Development and Strategy team, the firm announced May 4, 2026. Jager will lead Azora's international expansion strategy while also strengthening its capital formation capabilities and global investor relations.

Anne-Jan Jager Brings €14 Billion AUM Track Record to Azora

Jager joins Azora with more than two decades of experience in private equity and institutional real estate across Europe and the United States. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Real Estate Europe at Partners Group Real Estate, where he led the firm's direct and secondary real estate business, managed approximately €14 billion in assets under management, and oversaw an international team. He also served on Partners Group's investment committee and global leadership team.

Prior to Partners Group, Jager served as Executive Director of Investments at Tristan Capital Partners, where he was responsible for originating, structuring, and executing pan-European investments and overseeing European joint ventures. He began his career at UBS Global Asset Management, where he spent nearly ten years across Europe and the United States in investment, asset management, and portfolio management roles, developing experience in the acquisition and management of portfolios across multiple asset classes.

Strategic Role at Azora

In his new role, Jager will focus on advancing Azora's international footprint, with particular emphasis on capital formation and global investor relations. Azora operates across four investment strategies: living, hospitality and leisure, commercial real estate, and infrastructure and climate solutions.
