BGO and Equation Properties Complete 325,000 Sq Ft of Industrial Real Estate Leases at Horizon 29 in Chesterfield

BGO and Equation Properties have completed two new leases totaling more than 325,000 square feet at Horizon 29, their speculative industrial real estate development in Chesterfield, UK, the firms announced April 20, 2026.

Unit 1, comprising 73,239 square feet, has been let to Solidcor, a UK fire door manufacturer. The facility will serve as Solidcor's new headquarters and is intended to support the company's expansion plans. Unit 8, totaling 251,981 square feet, has been let to Romac Logistics, a food and drink third-party logistics provider. The temperature-controlled facility will be integrated into Romac's existing supply chain network.

Horizon 29 Industrial Park: Scheme Overview

Horizon 29 is a speculative logistics and industrial real estate development in Chesterfield. The scheme was developed across two phases by McLaren Construction and totals more than 1.1 million square feet. The development has achieved BREEAM 'Excellent' and EPC A ratings.

Following the two most recent lettings, five buildings comprising approximately 716,000 square feet are now occupied. Two units remain available: Unit 5, at 137,206 square feet, and Unit 7, at 252,056 square feet.

Tenant Profiles and Strategic Drivers

Solidcor's decision to establish its headquarters at Horizon 29 reflects the company's stated ambitions for business expansion. Romac Logistics, described as a leading food and drink specialist third-party logistics provider, will use Unit 8 as a temperature-controlled distribution facility to support its existing supply chain network.

The Industrial and Logistics team at Knight Frank, alongside JLL, Newmark, and Taylor Wessing, advised BGO and Equation Properties on the lettings. No financial terms were disclosed.
