June 2, 2026Blackstone (NYSE: BX) today announced the final close of Blackstone Capital Partners Asia III (BCP Asia III), its largest private equity fund focused on the Asia Pacific region, at $13.1 billion. The oversubscribed vehicle exceeded its $10 billion target, reached its hard cap, and raised more than double the capital of its predecessor fund.

Fund Size and Strategy

BCP Asia III employs a control-oriented strategy, with Blackstone describing its approach as "hands-on" and focused on building businesses into market leaders through active operational involvement.

Joe Baratta, Global Head of Blackstone Private Equity Strategies, said the fundraise reflects both the strength of the firm's platform and the region's growth trajectory. "Asia Pacific is the fastest-growing region in the world, presenting compelling opportunities to invest at scale behind our high-conviction themes and deliver for our investors," Baratta said.

Amit Dixit, Head of Asia for Blackstone Private Equity, credited the firm's regional infrastructure and long-term approach. "For two decades, we have focused on building businesses into market leaders and driving performance for our investors," Dixit said. "We believe our differentiation lies in our scale, supported by homegrown teams across the region's major markets; strong performance; and our control-oriented strategy that enables us to have a hands-on, proactive approach to supporting business transformations."

Recent Deployment and Exits

Blackstone reported that over the past 24 months it invested more than $7 billion of capital across 12 transactions in the region, describing itself as one of the most active global investors in Asia Pacific during that period. Disclosed investments include Neysa, described as a fast-growing Indian AI cloud platform; TechnoPro, Japan's leading specialized engineering services provider; and JUNO, South Korea's top hair salon franchise.

The firm also completed 15 exits over the same period, including the listing of International Gemological Institute, described as the largest lab-grown diamonds certification player; the listing of Aadhar Housing Finance, described as India's largest affordable housing finance business; and the exit from Alinamin Pharmaceutical following efforts to build the business into one of Japan's leading consumer healthcare companies.

Regional Focus

Blackstone highlighted India and Japan as markets where it has reinforced its leadership position over the past two years. The firm's emphasis on "homegrown teams across the region's major markets" and a control-oriented strategy reflects a preference for country-specialist origination and hands-on value creation, an approach the firm says has been refined over two decades of Asia investing.

With BCP Asia III now closed at $13.1 billion, Blackstone enters its next deployment cycle in Asia Pacific with its largest-ever regional private equity fund.
