Colliers Strengthens New York Retail Real Estate Platform With Hirschfeld Hire
NEW YORK — Colliers announced May 15, 2026, the addition of Michael Hirschfeld as Vice Chair and Brian Hirschfeld as Senior Vice President to its retail services team in New York, the firm said. The father-son duo joins from the broader commercial real estate industry, where they have spent decades advising premier retail brands, developers, and institutional owners across high-street, urban, resort, and international markets.
The firm said the additions represent a significant expansion of its New York retail brokerage capabilities, deepening its reach locally, nationally, and globally.
Michael Hirschfeld Joins as Vice Chair
Michael Hirschfeld joins Colliers as Vice Chair. He brings decades of experience in commercial real estate, with a focus on premium and luxury retail leasing and advisory services across major global markets. Throughout his career, Michael has represented leading international retailers and provided strategic guidance on complex initiatives across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Michael consults on major projects in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, including components of the NEOM development, according to the firm's announcement. He has consistently ranked among the top producers in the industry and has been recognized as one of JLL's Retail MVPs and one of only three Lifetime Retail Top Guns, Colliers said.

Brian Hirschfeld Joins as Senior Vice President
Brian Hirschfeld joins as Senior Vice President, bringing nearly a decade of experience in retail brokerage and national expansion strategy. Since 2016, he has completed more than 200 transactions spanning 31 states and over 2.4 million square feet, helping retailers execute complex multi-market growth, the firm said.
Together, the Hirschfelds have played a pivotal role in the Las Vegas retail market for the past 30 years, managing the planning, marketing, and leasing of approximately 1 million square feet along the Las Vegas Strip. They have also led numerous high-profile retail rollouts and flagship openings across the country, according to Colliers.
