Consolidated Properties Group Breaks Ground on $500M Gloriette Tower at Brisbane's Yeerongpilly Green
Consolidated Properties Group has broken ground on Gloriette, a $500 million, 25-storey luxury residential tower at Yeerongpilly Green in Brisbane's inner south, with Queensland Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie joining company leadership and the project's builder for a sod-turning ceremony on September 8, 2026.
The 181-apartment project on King Arthur Terrace forms part of the broader Yeerongpilly Green masterplanned precinct and represents the next major residential stage of a 10-year development partnership between Consolidated Properties Group and Economic Development Queensland.
Project Details and Design
Designed by Rothelowman and constructed by Hutchinson Builders, Gloriette will rise 25 storeys on a 4,323-square-metre site, delivering a collection of two- and three-bedroom residences positioned to capture views across two reaches of the Brisbane River, Indooroopilly Golf Course, the Brisbane Golf Course, the CBD skyline and Mt Coot-tha.
The tower's design prioritises a reduced building footprint, with more than 2,000 square metres of landscaped gardens wrapping the structure. That approach creates privately owned, publicly accessible parkland intended to expand open-space offerings within the precinct. Rooftop amenities and an emphasis on natural light and liveability are also central to the building's program.
The name Gloriette is drawn from classical European architecture, referring to a garden pavilion traditionally set within palace landscapes.
Consolidated Properties Group CEO and Chairman Don O'Rorke described the groundbreaking as a significant milestone for the broader precinct.
"Gloriette represents the next chapter for Yeerongpilly Green and a defining addition to Brisbane's inner southern riverfront," O'Rorke said. "This project brings together everything people love about this part of the city — river views, abundant green space, connectivity and everyday convenience — in a highly liveable and beautifully designed building."
O'Rorke confirmed that a dedicated display suite will open in a heritage-listed Queenslander opposite the site ahead of the October sales launch.
Sales Strategy and Market Positioning
Colliers has been appointed as sales agent for Gloriette, with the formal sales release scheduled for October 2026. Colliers Director of Residential Andrew Scriven said buyer interest was already strong ahead of the launch.
"Gloriette offers a rare opportunity to secure a high-end riverside home within a major lifestyle precinct. We expect strong demand from local downsizers, professionals and owner-occupiers who value space, amenity and connection but don't want to compromise on outlook or quality," Scriven said.
Consolidated Properties Group Head of Residential James MacGinley said the project was designed to address a specific gap in Brisbane's apartment supply.
"The generous apartment sizes will also appeal to people looking to downsize without compromise, offering luxury, spacious, light-filled apartment living without the intensity of inner-city congestion," MacGinley said. "Importantly, developments like Gloriette also play a role in addressing Brisbane's housing needs, with the potential to free up as many as 181 houses for local families as residents transition into high-quality apartment living."
MacGinley added that the views from Gloriette would be "unlike anything else in Brisbane," citing the elevated northern aspects across two river reaches as an uncommon feature in the inner-south market.
Yeerongpilly Green Precinct and Olympic Context
Yeerongpilly Green is an approximately 12-hectare masterplanned precinct targeting around 1,200 homes and 3,000 residents at completion, alongside 28,000 square metres of commercial space, 8,750 square metres of retail and dining, a boutique hotel and up to 2.4 hectares of parkland. Consolidated Properties Group has delivered more than $170 million of completed development within the precinct over the past decade, including all civil construction, a Woolworths-anchored shopping centre and townhouses.
Gloriette will sit adjacent to the existing YG Riverside Village, which is anchored by Woolworths and also includes Goodlife Health Clubs, a medical centre and a dining precinct. The broader Yeerongpilly Green precinct falls within one of Brisbane's designated 2032 Olympic Games precincts and includes the future Olympic tennis venue and the upgraded Yeerongpilly Cross River Rail station.

The Gloriette groundbreaking extends a decade-long relationship between Consolidated Properties Group and Economic Development Queensland. The partnership has progressed through multiple stages of the Yeerongpilly Green masterplan, with the current construction start marking the transition from the precinct's retail and low-density residential phases to large-scale high-rise delivery ahead of the 2032 Games.
