Heritage Golf Group Acquires Old Natchez Country Club, Enters Nashville Market With 49th Club
FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Sept. 8, 2026 — Heritage Golf Group has acquired Old Natchez Country Club in Franklin, Tennessee, marking the company's entry into the greater Nashville market and expanding its national portfolio to 49 clubs. The acquisition adds one of Middle Tennessee's most historically significant private clubs to Heritage's growing network of golf and country club properties across the United States.
A Legacy Asset in a High-Demand Suburban Market
Old Natchez Country Club sits at 115 Gardengate Drive in Williamson County, positioned between Franklin and Brentwood in the Nashville metropolitan area. The club is recognized as the oldest country club in continual existence in the region, with the course tracing its origins to 1893 and the club entity to 1911, giving it more than a century of continuous operation serving Middle Tennessee members and families.
The property's core improvement is an approximately 30,000-square-foot clubhouse that houses casual and formal dining, banquet and event space, an event lawn, and a veranda overlooking the club grounds. The 18-hole golf course, designed by Gary Roger Baird of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, plays through the rolling terrain characteristic of Middle Tennessee. Supporting amenities include a full-service golf pro shop, practice facilities, six clay tennis courts, a junior Olympic swimming pool with a slide and covered pavilion, and fitness facilities.
The combination of golf, racquet sports, aquatics, fitness, dining, and a year-round social calendar positions Old Natchez as a multi-amenity private club rather than a single-purpose golf facility.
Heritage Golf Group Completes Tennessee Triangle
The Old Natchez acquisition is Heritage Golf Group's third club in Tennessee. The company already operates Colonial Country Club in Memphis and The Club at Gettysvue in Knoxville, and the addition of Old Natchez fills in the Nashville node of the company's statewide presence, strengthening regional connectivity for members traveling among Heritage properties.
Heritage's current ownership and leadership team acquired the company in January 2020 and has since grown the portfolio to 49 clubs across 15 states: Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin. The company's home office is located in northern Virginia, outside Washington, D.C.

Heritage said early capital improvement plans will be developed with input from members and the Old Natchez team. The company indicated it will evaluate opportunities across the golf course, clubhouse, and lifestyle amenities, with investments focused on areas with the greatest impact on the member experience and the club's long-term competitive position in the Franklin and greater Nashville market.
Old Natchez members will also gain access to Heritage's reciprocal travel benefit program, the Heritage Plus Network, which provides participating members with access to other Heritage clubs and an expanded network of private and daily-fee clubs across the country.
Transaction Context
Old Natchez operated as a member-owned private club prior to the sale, with Heritage's acquisition representing a transition to institutional owner-operator management. Heritage's stated strategy encompasses acquiring private country clubs in residential communities, member-owned clubs seeking strategic alternatives, and premium daily-fee and resort golf properties in major markets.
Williamson County is among the fastest-growing and highest-income suburban counties in the Southeast, making the Franklin-Brentwood corridor a supply-constrained market for private club access. Each club in the Heritage portfolio retains its local identity while drawing on the company's capital investment, operational resources, and national network.
