Joffrey Houdoux Joins Mirastar as Head of France in Paris Office Launch

Mirastar, KKR Real Estate's pan-European industrial and logistics platform, has opened an office in Paris and appointed Joffrey Houdoux to lead its French operations, the firm announced. The expansion marks a formal organizational shift as Mirastar assumes management of approximately 195,000 square metres of logistics space in France on behalf of KKR's Core+ real estate investment strategy, pending customary approvals.
New Leadership for Mirastar France
Joffrey Houdoux joins Mirastar as Head of Mirastar France and will be responsible for overseeing sourcing and portfolio management activity for the French market. Julien Chevrier, who has served as Consultant CFO to Mirastar since September 2025, has been appointed Head of Finance for Mirastar's pan-European platform and will also be based in the Paris office.
Both executives previously held senior positions at Etche France, where they worked closely with KKR, establishing the working relationship that now continues under the Mirastar platform.
"We are extremely pleased to be expanding into France as a key market for our pan-European platform and to add Joffrey and Julien to our leadership team," said Ekaterina Avdonina, Co-Founder and CEO of Mirastar. "We have a fantastic foundation already, thanks to KKR's excellent track record in the French logistics market, a large initial portfolio to manage, and top talent leading our efforts. We see significant opportunities to continue acquiring and operating high-quality French logistics assets and to grow our pan-European portfolio."
Maï-Lan De Marcilly, Co-Head of European Real Estate at KKR, said the move is a natural extension of the firm's growth in Europe. "The establishment of Mirastar France is a natural part of our continued growth and positions us to continue driving strong outcomes for our investors. We are delighted to establish the new Mirastar office under the leadership of Joffrey and Julien, our long-time partners in France who bring deep local knowledge, relationships and experience managing our Core+ logistics portfolio."
Portfolio Background and KKR's French Logistics Strategy
The approximately 195,000 square metres of logistics space transitioning to Mirastar France reflects KKR's programmatic build-out of French logistics assets over several years. KKR acquired a majority stake in Etche France in 2020, gaining control of a platform with more than 120 assets valued at approximately €400 million across logistics, light industrial and office properties in France.
In October 2023, KKR and Etche acquired the "Scott" logistics portfolio from Ivanhoé Cambridge — five buildings totaling more than 160,000 square metres in locations along the French logistics corridor, including Lyon, Grenoble, Orléans, Compiègne and Strasbourg, at a price just under €150 million. In December 2023, Etche sold the Gallic portfolio — five assets totaling approximately 29,000 square metres in the Lyon region — reflecting active portfolio rotation.
The French portfolio sits within Mirastar's broader book of approximately €2.7 billion of logistics assets under management, totaling roughly 900,000 square metres across the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.
Joffrey Houdoux said the team looks forward to continuing its work in France. "We look forward to continuing our work to deliver great investment outcomes, source new opportunities and create value within KKR's strategically selected French logistics portfolio."
Mirastar's Role Within KKR's European Platform
Founded in 2019, Mirastar operates as a pan-European logistics developer, investor and asset manager. KKR first acquired a strategic stake in Mirastar in 2020, designating it as its primary industrial and logistics platform in Europe. In September 2025, KKR increased its investment in Mirastar to support the platform's continued expansion across European markets.
The Paris office adds to Mirastar's existing locations in London, Amsterdam, Stockholm and Frankfurt. Collectively, the Mirastar team has deployed more than €20 billion of capital across key European markets and has built and constructed in excess of 4 million square metres of logistics assets.
The announcement also clarifies a division of responsibilities within KKR's French portfolio: upon completion of pending approvals and management agreements, KKR's value-add logistics portfolio in France will be managed by Etche Asset Management, while Mirastar France will handle the Core+ portfolio.
Julien Chevrier described the launch as a deepening of the platform's capabilities. "The launch of Mirastar France marks an exciting new chapter and deepens our access to resources and world-class expertise as part of a scaled pan-European logistics platform with strong support from KKR."
Market Context
The Paris office opening formalizes Mirastar's on-the-ground presence in France at a time when the country's logistics market continues to attract foreign institutional capital, even as the sector works through a broader cyclical slowdown across European real estate. For KKR, consolidating French logistics asset management under Mirastar aligns with its strategy of using the platform as a single, integrated operating vehicle for industrial and logistics investments across the continent.
Recent activity underscores the pace of Mirastar's expansion. The platform completed a £170 million acquisition of four UK logistics assets totaling 1.25 million square feet.
