MBK Real Estate Companies Opens 330-Unit Vintage Farms Apartment Community in Murrieta, California
MURRIETA, Calif. — July 1, 2026 — MBK Real Estate Companies, a division of MBK Real Estate Companies, has opened Vintage Farms, a 330-unit multifamily community located in Murrieta, California. The community, situated on 15 acres in southwestern Riverside County, is now open and leasing with immediate move-ins available, the firm announced.
The opening adds a rental option to a submarket that has drawn interest from renters seeking suburban amenities, school access, and freeway connectivity to regional employment centers.
Community Design and Unit Mix
Vintage Farms offers studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans ranging from 503 square feet to 1,278 square feet. Each unit features open-concept layouts, upgraded appliances, wood-style flooring, quartz countertops, luxury vinyl plank flooring, and private patios or balconies.
The site's layout was guided by the natural hillside terrain. Buildings are arranged across a series of terraces designed to step with the land, which the firm says expands views, improves light exposure, and reduces the sense of density across the property.
"In today's competitive housing landscape, differentiation matters. Vintage Farms reflects our commitment to creating communities with modern amenities that feel both elevated and firmly connected to their surroundings," said Ken McCarren, President of MBK Rental Living. "Our goal was to design a community where the locale dotted with hillside views and outdoor gathering areas is integrated into the living environment and foundational to the resident experience."
Amenities and Sustainability Features
The community's amenity program includes a resort-style pool, wading pool, game room, coworking pods, 24-hour fitness center, dog spa and park, and outdoor gathering areas. MBK Rental Living said the amenities are distributed across the site to create what it describes as multiple modes of living, ranging from social and active spaces to quieter everyday environments.
Vintage Farms also incorporates MBK Rental Living's "With Our World" sustainability program. Sustainability elements include EV charging stations, energy-efficient LED lighting, Energy Star appliances, low or no VOC materials, bicycle racks, and a weekly recycling program.
"As more residents choose to rent for longer periods and remain connected to regional employment centers across healthcare, education, and municipal services, expectations for home have shifted," McCarren said. "Access to amenities remains important, but so does the ability to return to an environment that supports focus, stability, and recharge after the workday."
Location and Market Context
Murrieta is located in southwestern Riverside County and offers access to Interstate 215 and Interstate 15, providing commute connectivity to employment hubs across the broader region. The city is served by the Murrieta Valley Unified School District and is in proximity to outdoor destinations including Glen Arbor Park, Tenaja Falls, and the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve.
MBK Rental Living said early demand during the community's pre-leasing phase signaled interest in what it characterized as a more balanced approach to apartment living — one that offers amenity access alongside space and flexibility. The firm noted that durable finishes such as quartz countertops and luxury vinyl plank flooring were selected to align with longer-term rental living patterns.
"A lot of new communities are built around a single idea of how people should live: highly social, highly activated, always on," McCarren said. "What we're seeing instead is that residents want flexibility. They want access to great amenities, but they also want the ability to step back and have space. Vintage Farms was designed to give them both."
MBK Real Estate Companies' Broader Portfolio
Vintage Farms is part of an active development and leasing push by MBK Rental Living across California and Colorado. The firm is currently leasing communities including Solana in Duarte, Zia in Anaheim, Vida in Morgan Hill, The Haven in Petaluma, Ona in Natomas, and Las Brisas in Santa Maria in California, as well as Alexan Peña Station in Denver and The Aven in Colorado Springs. The Sanctuary in Thousand Oaks is expected to begin leasing this summer, the firm said.
MBK Rental Living is a division of MBK Real Estate LLC, the U.S. real estate development arm of Mitsui & Co., Ltd. MBK Real Estate Companies' portfolio spans multifamily, industrial, and senior housing development. The firm has operated for more than 30 years.
