Montecito Medical Acquires Four-Property Kansas City Medical Office Portfolio From Orthopedic Health of Kansas City, Kansas City Urology Care PA and Sunflower Medical Group
CHICAGO — Montecito Medical has acquired a fully leased, four-property medical office portfolio totaling 86,135 square feet in the Greater Kansas City area, JLL announced July 16, 2026. The off-market transaction was completed on behalf of sellers Orthopedic Health of Kansas City, Kansas City Urology Care PA and Sunflower Medical Group.
Portfolio Properties and Locations
The four-building portfolio spans multiple submarkets across the Kansas City metro. The properties are located at 1950 Diamond Pkwy. in North Kansas City, Kansas; 8800 Ballentine in Overland Park, Kansas; 10950 W. 86th St. in Lenexa, Kansas; and 17525 Medical Center Pkwy. in Independence, Missouri.
According to JLL, the properties are situated in affluent submarkets throughout the Kansas City region, with prime visibility, high traffic counts, convenient access to major roadways and significant barriers to entry.
The portfolio is 100% leased to the three selling physician groups, which collectively offer a broad range of clinical services including an ambulatory surgery center, interventional radiology, orthopedics, urology, oncology, physical therapy, urgent care and women's health.
Montecito Medical Comments on Acquisition
Nashville-based Montecito Medical is one of the nation's largest privately held companies specializing in medical and veterinary real estate acquisitions. The company said the portfolio aligns with its strategy of acquiring mission-critical outpatient facilities occupied by established physician practices.

JLL Capital Markets Leads Transaction
JLL's Capital Markets Medical Properties group represented the selling physician groups in the transaction. The team was led by Senior Managing Directors Evan Kovac, Andrew Milne and John Chun, Managing Director Timothy Joyce and Senior Director Matt DiCesare. Executive Vice President Jim Gates in JLL's Kansas City office provided local market expertise.
The deal was structured as an off-market transaction. Financial terms, including the purchase price, were not disclosed.
