Newmark Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NMRK) announced July 1 that einwert GmbH, a Germany-based real estate valuation and technology company, has joined its Valuation & Advisory business, expanding the firm's presence in Germany's institutional real estate fund sector.

Founded in 2022, einwert has built a nationwide team of nearly 30 professionals and developed an independent platform for real estate value management. The firm primarily serves the real estate fund sector and supports clients with portfolios across Germany, offering what it describes as a disruptive valuation management and portfolio analysis solution that enables collaboration with appraisers, streamlines processes, and increases efficiency.

Deepening Newmark's German Platform

Marcus Lütgering, who serves as Country Head, Germany at Newmark, said the firm's expansion reflects the specific demands of the local market. "The German real estate fund market has very specific requirements around valuation transparency and independence," Lütgering said. "einwert has built exactly the expertise and platform this market demands, and we are proud to deepen our presence in Germany together."

Part of a Broader Valuation & Advisory Build-Out

The einwert addition is the latest in a series of additions to Newmark's Valuation & Advisory practice. The firm previously acquired Catella Valuation Advisory in Paris, France, and closed the acquisition of Altus Group's Canadian Appraisals business.

John D. Busi, President of Newmark Valuation & Advisory, said the einwert founders built the company with institutional clients and portfolio managers in mind. "The result is a business that combines high-level advisory expertise with technology and analytics in a way that really reflects where the industry is heading," Busi said.

Newmark has stated a goal of increasing the proportion of revenue generated by recurring businesses and expanding its global footprint. The company's Valuation & Advisory acquisitions — spanning North America and Europe — are framed as advancing that objective by adding recurring valuation and portfolio oversight services for institutional clients.

Technology Platform to Remain Independent

Under the arrangement, einwert's valuation professionals will join Newmark's Valuation & Advisory practice, while einwert's independent platform for real estate value management will continue to serve Germany's institutional real estate fund industry.

Dr. Christina Mauer, Managing Director and Co-Founder of einwert, said the firm's founding vision centered on combining industry expertise with modern technology to create a more transparent and efficient approach to valuation. "We built einwert based on firsthand experience with the operational challenges facing valuation and fund management professionals," Mauer said. "We believe Newmark is the ideal partner to help us accelerate that vision while preserving the entrepreneurial culture, client focus and independent platform identity that have defined our growth."

Dr. Maximilian Schlachter is co-founder of einwert alongside Mauer.

For the twelve months ended March 31, 2026, Newmark generated revenues of more than $3.4 billion. As of that date, Newmark and its business partners operated from over 185 offices with more than 9,600 professionals across four continents.
