Niam, a Nordic private markets firm with operations spanning real estate, infrastructure, credit, and private equity, has appointed Annika Falkengren, Pär Norberg, and Johan Edenström as new members of its Board of Directors, the firm announced.

The appointments add governance capacity at the board level to support the firm's growth across multiple asset classes.

New Board Members Strengthen Oversight

The three incoming directors — Annika Falkengren, Pär Norberg, and Johan Edenström — bring additional expertise to Niam's board as the firm manages an increasingly complex portfolio of strategies. The firm did not disclose the specific backgrounds or prior roles of the appointees in its announcement.

Niam Group describes itself as a leading private markets firm in the Nordics, with real estate remaining the cornerstone of its platform. The firm also operates infrastructure and credit strategies, the latter focused on providing flexible and sustainable financing solutions across real assets.

Credit Platform Activity

Niam Credit, the firm's private debt platform in the Nordics, recently announced a strategic partnership with a northern European institutional investor to provide tailored private real estate credit solutions to the Nordic market.

That partnership is focused on structured real estate financings, including mezzanine and whole-loan solutions, supporting high-quality sponsors across the region, according to the firm. The identity of the institutional investor was not disclosed.

Real Estate Activity

Niam Real Estate, together with Nordsten Development, recently signed a 15-year lease agreement with Exacta Logistics at the MainHub Örebro logistics facility.
