Peachtree Group Finances Briad Group's First Multi-Brand Circle K Travel Center in Binghamton, N.Y.

Peachtree Group has provided development financing for The Briad Group's first multi-brand Circle K travel center in Binghamton, New York, the firm announced Oct. 1, 2026. The project, at 265 Court St., is expected to open in fall 2026 and falls under a broader commitment of up to $200 million to fund Briad Group's development and acquisition of Circle K convenience stores and mini-travel centers across the Northeast.

Peachtree Group Financing Supports Briad Group Development

Peachtree Group, which provided the financing through its private-credit platform, is the lender on the Binghamton development. Briad Group, a Livingston, New Jersey-based hospitality and retail developer and Circle K franchisee, is the developer and operator.

The $200 million figure represents the broader financing commitment rather than the amount advanced against the Binghamton property alone. The Binghamton project was Peachtree Group's first Circle K development financing with Briad Group.

Binghamton Circle K Travel Center Details

The Binghamton property is a single-building travel center of approximately 6,800 square feet. The site includes eight fuel pumps and combines several brands:

  • A Circle K convenience store
  • A Wendy's drive-thru lane
  • A Dunkin' drive-thru lane
  • A nontraditional Papa Johns-branded pizza offering

The format pairs fuel and convenience retail with multiple quick-service restaurant brands in a compact footprint. The project is new construction.

Rollout Across the Northeast

The financing program is intended to support two to four Circle K convenience-store and mini-travel-center projects annually over the next several years. Briad Group expects to develop as many as 40 New York-region locations under a long-term franchise-development agreement with Circle K, making Binghamton a prototype for a broader regional expansion.

Peachtree Group and Briad Group have also announced development financing for a Circle K project in Watertown, New York, as part of the same relationship.

Market Context: Private Credit and Fuel Retail

Convenience and fuel retail has increasingly favored larger, higher-traffic formats that combine gasoline, prepared food and recognizable restaurant brands. The Briad Group concept follows that direction, using a footprint of roughly 6,800 to 7,000 square feet rather than a traditional large-format truck stop.

The financing also illustrates the role of private credit in funding specialized commercial development. Peachtree Group has described the relationship as a way to provide flexible financing to experienced operators and accelerate growth in the convenience and fuel-retail sector. A committed facility can give a developer greater certainty of execution across multiple sites, particularly where individual projects are small or operationally specialized.
