CP Group Unveils Master Plan for 2.2M-SF Piedmont Center Redevelopment in Buckhead
CP Group has announced a master plan to redevelop Piedmont Center, a 2.2 million-square-foot office real estate complex in Atlanta's Buckhead business district, transforming the 46-acre property into a mixed-use destination with retail real estate and hospitality amenities. Renovations are expected to begin in 2026.
The real estate acquisition of the 14-building property was completed in June 2025. CP Group has a track record of transforming commercial properties in Atlanta, including Bank of America Plaza and The Center, formerly CNN Center.
Office Real Estate Transformation Strategy
CP Group's real estate development plan centers on converting the traditional office park into an amenity-rich environment. The master plan includes the creation of a walkable retail corridor along Piedmont Road featuring at least six restaurant concepts and upscale retail offerings.
"Piedmont Center is a perfect example of the high-value assets we target," said Chris Eachus, Founding Partner at CP Group. "The combination of this prime location and our reimagined master plan has already sparked immediate interest and strong leasing results. We're not just updating an office park; we're building a destination. New restaurants and retail will anchor this project as a vital part of the Buckhead community."
Since acquiring the property, CP Group has implemented early improvements including the opening of LiveWire Coffee in Building 6 and curated food truck programming. The firm has assembled a team of Atlanta-based architecture and design firms, including Smallwood and ASD|SKY, alongside placemaking strategists Of Place to execute the redevelopment.
Hospitality Real Estate and Amenity Enhancements
The real estate development includes hospitality-inspired lobby renovations at Buildings 14 and 15, expanded fitness and conference facilities, and a new gateway entrance with an arrival courtyard. A centralized amenity center will connect parking decks to sport courts and feature a fitness facility, flexible event space, wellness amenities, and a leasing center.
Planned enhancements also include improved wayfinding systems and reimagined arrival experiences designed to elevate the tenant and visitor experience at the office real estate property.
Leasing Activity
The master plan announcement follows 77,000 square feet of recent leasing activity at Piedmont Center. Buckhead Investment Partners expanded its footprint to 19,576 square feet, while business management consulting firm ScottMadden, Inc. renewed its lease for 10,871 square feet. Stream Realty Partners is handling leasing for the property.
Piedmont Center was originally built as Buckhead's largest office complex over 50 years ago.
