Hilton, Deicorp Group Plan 100-Room DoubleTree by Hilton in Parramatta, With Trilogy Hotels to Operate
Hilton has signed a franchise agreement with Sydney-based developer Deicorp Group to open a 100-room DoubleTree by Hilton in Parramatta, New South Wales, the company announced Sept. 7. The hotel, to be operated by Trilogy Hotels, is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2028 at 34 Hassall Street and will mark Hilton's first entry into the Parramatta market.
The property will form part of Deicorp Group's Cosmopolitan project, a mixed-use development comprising two towers with 604 residential apartments, retail and commercial podium space, and 432 car parking spaces. The hotel component sits within a precinct that Hilton described as one of Western Sydney's fastest-growing commercial and infrastructure hubs.
Project Details and Amenities
DoubleTree by Hilton Parramatta will offer 100 guest rooms ranging from 20 to 45 square metres. The property will include an all-day dining restaurant and lounge, 667 square metres of event space — encompassing meeting rooms, a boardroom and pre-function areas — as well as fitness and wellness facilities.
The hotel is located adjacent to the Robin Thomas light rail stop and will provide access to Parramatta Railway Station, Parramatta Wharf, Parramatta Square, Westmead Health Precinct and Western Sydney University. The Cosmopolitan development's podium includes approximately 5,804 square metres of retail and commercial floorspace.
Guests who are Hilton Honors members and book directly through Hilton channels will have access to the loyalty program's standard benefits, including digital check-in, room selection and Digital Key through the Hilton Honors mobile app. Hilton Honors has more than 260 million members worldwide.
What the Parties Said
Tushar Raniga, director of development for Hilton Australasia, said the signing reflects the company's strategy to expand in urban markets with long-term demand potential.

Fouad Deiri OAM, founder of Deicorp, said the hotel reflects growing demand for hospitality in Western Sydney.

Market Context: Western Sydney Hotel Demand
The Parramatta signing comes as Western Sydney's hotel market has shown sustained demand pressure. The region averaged 75% hotel occupancy in 2025, with occupancy exceeding 95% during major event periods such as the NRL Grand Final and large-scale concerts at Accor Stadium. Projected population growth in the region has been cited in industry analysis as potentially generating demand for approximately 11,500 additional hotel rooms over time, while hotel supply across Western Sydney continues to trail projected needs.
Hilton cited demand drivers across corporate, government, education, health and leisure travel segments as underpinning the Parramatta opportunity. The company's broader pipeline stood at 541,300 rooms as of June 30, 2026, following the approval of approximately 42,900 new rooms in the second quarter of that year. Hilton reported comparable system-wide RevPAR growth of 3.9% in Q2 2026 and raised its full-year 2026 RevPAR growth outlook to a range of 3.0% to 3.5%.
