FORT WORTH, Texas — InterConnect Wiring LLP, a manufacturer of military aerospace electrical wiring harnesses, has signed a 136,900-square-foot full-building industrial lease at 4901 Mercantile Drive in Fort Worth, Texas, within the Mercantile Center Addition. Transwestern announced the transaction on June 24, 2026.

The lease will allow InterConnect Wiring to nearly triple its existing operational footprint, according to the announcement. The company serves major defense contractors and cited increasing demand driven by defense spending and domestic aerospace manufacturing as factors behind the expansion.

Deal Details and Tenant Representation

Kirk Kelly, Executive Managing Director at Transwestern, and Blake Grable, also of Transwestern, represented the tenant in the transaction. The property is owned by Mercantile Partners, L.P. and managed by Mercantile Corporation of Fort Worth. Financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.

The facility features a fully HVAC-conditioned warehouse and substantial parking, infrastructure that supports the specialized manufacturing operations InterConnect Wiring requires.

"InterConnect's expansion highlights the growing demand for highly specialized industrial space in Fort Worth, particularly from aerospace and defense users," Kelly said in the announcement. "This facility offers the infrastructure necessary to support complex production while positioning the company for continued growth in a highly strategic market."

Location Strategy in North Fort Worth

The north Fort Worth location was described in the announcement as enabling InterConnect Wiring to remain close to its established workforce and key industry partners. The region was characterized in the announcement as one of the nation's leading defense manufacturing hubs, a factor the company cited in its site selection.
