MAGNY-LE-HONGRE, France — InterContinental Hotels Group plc has opened the Crowne Plaza Paris Marne-la-Vallée, a 250-room destination hotel at 40 Allée de La Mare Houleuse in Magny-le-Hongre, France, the company announced Sept. 24, 2026. The property, originally built in 2005 and renovated in 2026, marks an expansion of the Crowne Plaza brand's hospitality real estate presence in the greater Paris region.

Nestled in the Marne-la-Vallée submarket, the hotel spans 2.5 hectares of landscaped grounds and is positioned approximately seven to nine minutes by complimentary shuttle from Marne-la-Vallée Chessy station and the area's theme parks, including Disneyland Paris. The property also provides access to La Vallée Village, Val d'Europe and the broader Paris region.

Property Overview and Hospitality Real Estate Positioning

The 250 guestrooms and suites at Crowne Plaza Paris Marne-la-Vallée are designed to serve both leisure travelers and corporate guests. The majority of rooms overlook Golf Paris Val d'Europe and its three 9-hole courses. The hotel's event infrastructure includes 1,500 square metres — approximately 16,146 square feet — of flexible meeting and event space across 14 meeting rooms, with capacity for as many as 400 delegates.

Three food-and-beverage venues operate within the property. La Clairière offers Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, L'Orangerie provides a dining environment overlooking the terrace and gardens and serves breakfast and private events, and Mystic Bar functions as an all-day social hub. Wellness amenities include an indoor heated swimming pool, a spa, a fully equipped indoor gym and a dedicated Yoga & Pilates space. Walking trails and bicycle rentals are available on the landscaped grounds, and children's play areas are on site.

Additional amenities are planned for later in 2026, including padel courts, an outdoor gym, pétanque and cinema experiences. An outdoor swimming pool and bar are scheduled to open in spring 2027.

Sustainability and Design

Sustainability considerations were embedded throughout the renovation. Materials selected include recycled elements used in headboards and carpets, and the project incorporates technologies aimed at reducing environmental impact. On-site parking and electric vehicle charging facilities are also available.

"At Crowne Plaza Paris Marne-la-Vallée, we set out to create more than a place to stay. We wanted to create a destination with a true sense of escape, where guests can experience everything the region has to offer while still finding the space to slow down, reconnect, and recharge," said Francelina Ferreira do Amaral, General Manager. "Inspired by our natural surroundings, every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create an experience where work, downtime and shared moments flow effortlessly together. Ultimately, our ambition is simple: to create a place where balance comes naturally."

IHG's European Pipeline and Brand Growth

The opening adds to Crowne Plaza's European estate, which comprises 96 hotels and more than 20,400 rooms across the region. The brand's European pipeline includes 21 additional properties representing more than 4,300 rooms. Globally, Crowne Plaza's development pipeline had reached 578 hotels, with approximately 34% room growth embedded in future development.

IHG ended 2025 with approximately 1.026 million rooms across 6,963 hotels and reported a global development pipeline of 340,526 rooms across 2,292 hotels — equivalent to roughly 33% of its existing system. The company signed 102,054 rooms in 2025, with conversions accounting for 52% of openings and 40% of signings. IHG's first-half 2026 results showed a global pipeline of approximately 348,000 rooms across 2,385 hotels, up 3% year over year. In Europe, the pipeline stood at approximately 124,500 rooms across 691 hotels, equal to 42% of the region's current system.

The Paris Marne-la-Vallée project reflects a renovation-and-rebrand approach that IHG and other major operators have increasingly favored as high construction costs and extended delivery timelines make conversion of existing assets an attractive path to system growth. The property's combination of leisure demand drivers — theme parks, outlet shopping, golf — and a substantial meetings-and-events platform gives it a diversified demand profile that extends beyond any single traveler segment.

Market Context: Marne-la-Vallée as a Hospitality Real Estate Destination

Marne-la-Vallée functions as a major tourism, retail and transportation cluster anchored by Disneyland Paris, the Val d'Europe commercial district, La Vallée Village and the Marne-la-Vallée Chessy rail station. The submarket supports overlapping demand from family and international leisure travelers, corporate meetings and incentives, group events, wellness stays and destination shopping. The hotel's 250-room scale and 400-delegate event capacity position it above a purely family-oriented resort product and allow it to pursue corporate and group business during periods when leisure demand softens.

Crowne Plaza's stated strategy of targeting blended travel — trips that combine leisure, business, meetings and extended stays — is central to how the brand is presenting the Marne-la-Vallée property. The hotel's flexible public spaces, multiple dining venues and wellness facilities are designed to accommodate guests whose itineraries shift between work and leisure within a single stay.
