KKR Appoints Rolf Buch as Executive Advisor in Frankfurt to Support DACH Investments

Frankfurt, Germany — December 11, 2025: KKR, a global investment firm, announced the appointment of Rolf Buch as Executive Advisor to support its investment activities in the DACH region. Buch will assist KKR’s investment teams and portfolio companies in identifying new investment opportunities across private equity, infrastructure, and real estate, as well as strengthening local partnerships.

KKR Expands Presence in the DACH Region

The appointment underscores KKR’s strategic focus on Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Since 1999, KKR has invested approximately €20 billion in equity across more than 40 companies in the DACH region, with over two-thirds of those investments made in partnership with founders, family-owned businesses, and corporations.

Rolf Buch’s Background

Rolf Buch has served as Chief Executive Officer of Vonovia SE, Europe’s largest private residential real estate company, since 2013 and will hold that position until the end of the year. Under his leadership, Vonovia completed its initial public offering in 2013 and was later promoted to the DAX 30 index, now DAX 40. Buch previously held senior leadership positions at Bertelsmann and served as CEO of Arvato AG.
