RXR, Chuo-Nittochi Break Ground on 101-Unit Multifamily Development in Glen Cove
RXR and partner Chuo-Nittochi Group broke ground this week on The Arden at Garvies Point, a 101-unit residential development in Glen Cove, New York. The project includes market-rate studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, along with 2,400 square feet of retail space.
The development continues the multi-stage transformation of the 56-acre Garvies Point waterfront into a mixed-use destination. The complex will feature a landscaped courtyard with a firepit, pool, and walking trail leading to Garvies Point Preserve.
Development Leadership Statement
"This groundbreaking represents another milestone in our long-term commitment to Glen Cove and the continued revitalization of the waterfront and downtown core," said Joe Graziose, RXR Executive Vice President of Residential Development and Construction. "Garvies Point has already proven itself as a thriving neighborhood. This next phase brings an even higher caliber of living, further solidifying Glen Cove as a premier destination on Long Island."
Garvies Point Development Context
The Arden represents the latest phase of RXR's development at Garvies Point. The 2,400 square feet of retail space in The Arden adds to the commercial component of the broader mixed-use development.
RXR's partnership with Chuo-Nittochi Group on The Arden brings the Japanese firm into the Long Island multifamily market as a development partner.
