Trademark has reached full retail occupancy at Westbend, its 281,000-square-foot mixed-use community in Fort Worth, Texas, after Pottery Barn and West Elm opened their doors on June 19, 2026. The two Williams-Sonoma, Inc.-owned home furnishings brands now occupy 22,126 square feet of ground-floor retail space along the Trinity River and Trinity Trail system, filling the former Market by Macy's footprint.

Retail Component Hits 100% Leased

The openings mark a leasing milestone for Trademark, which developed Westbend's first phase in 2016 by transforming a dated office building into a mixed-use community. Pottery Barn is described as a premier specialty retailer for casual, comfortable, and stylish home furnishings, while West Elm is known for modern furnishings, contemporary design, and a curated assortment of furniture, décor, lighting, and home accessories. The two brands operate side-by-side in the ground-floor space.

"Jon is Texan through-and-through, so it was a natural decision to license art by him for Westbend," said Terry Montesi, CEO and Founder at Trademark. "Art plays an important part in our approach to placemaking, and we're committed to creating places that form deep emotional connections with the surrounding community. Welcoming two major retailers to the property alongside the debut of this installation marks another exciting milestone for us and for Westbend."

Trademark Expands Public Art Program at Westbend

Alongside the retail openings, Trademark unveiled two 12-foot art installations created by Texas artist Jon Flaming. Flaming is known for bold, colorful representations of Texas scenes — including cowboys, cattle, and rural landscapes — in a regionalist style. His work is held in the permanent collections of the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth and the Booth Museum of Western Art in Georgia.

Flaming's installation joins existing works at Westbend that include Laura Kimpton's Love sculpture, murals by Kyle Steed, and the Amon Carter photography collection. Trademark also announced plans to repaint crosswalks at the property in a style consistent with Flaming's artwork. The firm described the public art program as part of its broader placemaking strategy.

Second Phase Advances with Multifamily Development

With the retail component now fully leased, Trademark is moving forward on Westbend's second phase: Westbend Residences, a 321-unit multifamily community at 1701 S. University Dr. in Fort Worth. The project will include 4,500 square feet of restaurant space on 3.5 acres along the Trinity River. Plans also call for an enhanced trailhead and public amenities, including a bike repair station, additional public art, and outdoor gathering spaces.

Trademark's Broader Portfolio

Fort Worth-based Trademark describes itself as a full-service real estate firm focused on investments, development, and institutional services across retail, multifamily, office, and mixed-use properties. The firm says it has invested in, developed, or redeveloped 24 million square feet of assets valued at $5 billion. Its current operating portfolio spans 19 properties totaling more than 10 million square feet across the country.

Trademark's Dallas–Fort Worth holdings include Galleria Dallas, Left Bank, Westbend, Alliance Town Center, Westbend Residences, and The Vickery. The firm also operates properties in Texas markets including The Woodlands, Longview, Arlington, Katy, Austin, Cypress, Corpus Christi, Celina, and Southlake, as well as assets in Florida, Tennessee, Louisiana, California, Ohio, and Missouri.

No transaction price, lease rate, or cap rate information was disclosed in connection with the Pottery Barn and West Elm openings at Westbend.
