Trammell Crow Company and BDT & MSD Partners Unveil The Lora, a 27-Story Luxury Tower in Dallas' Knox Street District
Trammell Crow Company and BDT & MSD Partners have publicly unveiled The Lora, a 27-story luxury residential tower rising within the Knox Street mixed-use development in Dallas, with leasing scheduled to begin this summer. The announcement, made alongside partners The Summers Group, Gillon Property Group, and The Retail Connection, marks the first detailed public look at a project that forms the residential centerpiece of a more than one-million-square-foot urban district.
Design and Architecture
The Lora's design draws on the site's history along the historic Missouri–Kansas–Texas Railroad line. Architecture firm Woods Bagot designed the tower's sculptural facade, which is clad in terracotta-toned precast concrete with bronze detailing and large arches intended to reference the corridor's layered heritage. Dallas-based Chad Dorsey Design is responsible for the building's interiors and amenity spaces.
Residences range from one to four bedrooms, spanning approximately 800 to more than 3,500 square feet. Most homes include private terraces with views of Downtown Dallas and Highland Park, while large picture-frame windows are designed to maximize natural light throughout the units.
"For The Lora, our vision was to express the character of Knox Street in a contemporary way, with warm and layered sophistication," said Joel Behrens, Market Leader for TCC Dallas-Fort Worth. "It was important that we remain true to the place, while also delivering exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and lifestyle that today's discerning residents appreciate most."
Amenities, Services, and Operations
The Lora will offer a dedicated full floor of indoor and outdoor amenity space covering wellness, leisure, and social gathering areas. The building will provide 24-hour reception and security, along with a concierge service offering access to dining reservations, shopping, and cultural experiences within the Knox Street neighborhood.
FirstService Residential will oversee property management and resident experience. Leasing is led by Maria Dryden of Allie Beth Allman & Associates. Prospective residents can find additional information at thelora.com.
"The Lora reflects a new kind of residential experience for Dallas, one that combines exceptional design, service, and walkability within one of the city's most dynamic neighborhoods," said Sabrina Gleizer, Partner at BDT & MSD. "What makes it especially compelling is how connected it feels to the broader energy of Knox Street, from the Katy Trail and park to the surrounding retail, dining, and hospitality experiences."
The Broader Knox Street Development
The Lora is one component of the larger Knox Street development, a mixed-use destination exceeding one million square feet located adjacent to the Katy Trail in Dallas. In addition to The Lora, the project is slated to include approximately 150,000 square feet of office space, roughly 100,000 square feet of retail, a half-acre public park, and The Knox Hotel and Residences, which will be operated by the Auberge Collection and is targeted to open in late 2026.
