Trammell Crow Company has named Fabian Gerdon as Vice President – Development Investment, tasking him with building the firm's residential real estate platform in Germany, the company announced March 3, 2026. Based in Düsseldorf, Gerdon will focus on purpose-built student accommodation and micro-living projects, overseeing sourcing, capitalization, and execution of new development opportunities.

Expanding Into German Residential Real Estate

The appointment marks a strategic expansion for Trammell Crow Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CBRE, Inc., into Germany's residential sector. Gerdon will report to Maximilian Moser, Senior Vice President, who is also based in TCC's Düsseldorf office. The move establishes a dedicated residential real estate development arm for TCC in the German market.

Gerdon's Background in Real Estate Investment and Strategy

Gerdon joins Trammell Crow Company with a background spanning institutional investment management and entrepreneurial real estate platforms. Most recently, he served as Head of Strategy & Investment Management at Cube Real Estate AG, where he established the company's Investment Management division, developed its digital roadmap, and managed relationships with equity investors and joint venture partners. He originally joined Cube Real Estate as Chief of Staff to the Founder and CEO.

Prior to Cube Real Estate, Gerdon held a series of investment roles at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, progressing from the firm's European Graduate Programme to Investment Analyst and subsequently Investment Manager. In that capacity, he managed acquisition and disposal processes within Germany.

"Fabian has a strong track record of shaping investment platforms and advancing new product strategies, which makes him a great fit for our ambitions in Germany," said Maximilian Moser, Senior Vice President at Trammell Crow Company. "His experience across both entrepreneurial and institutional environments brings a valuable perspective to our residential growth plans, particularly as we strengthen our presence in PBSA and micro-living."

Gerdon said the firm's existing commitment to the German market provides a foundation for the residential push. "TCC's commitment to the German market offers a remarkable foundation for developing thoughtful, future-ready residential projects," he said. "I'm looking forward to working with colleagues and partners to bring forward schemes that respond to the evolving needs of students, young professionals, and urban residents across the country."
