Big V Property Group, The Seitz Group, Principal Asset Management and Citizens Bank Break Ground on Rosamond Town Center in Anna, Texas
Big V Property Group, The Seitz Group, Principal Asset Management and Citizens Bank joined local and regional officials on June 30, 2026, to break ground on Rosamond Town Center in Anna, Texas, marking the start of construction on a 355,826-square-foot open-air retail center in one of North Texas's fastest-growing communities.
The project, located at the southeast corner of Rosamond Parkway and U.S. Highway 75 in Collin County, is being financed through a combination of developer equity, financing from Principal Asset Management and a construction loan from Citizens Bank. Lument and Talonvest Capital are also listed as participants in the transaction.
A 750,000-Square-Foot Retail Complex
Rosamond Town Center is complementary to Rosamond Crossing, a separate development. Together, the two projects are expected to total approximately 750,000 square feet, establishing what the development team describes as a regional retail node along the North Dallas growth corridor between McKinney and Sherman. Additional details regarding Rosamond Crossing's square footage, anchor tenants and financing are undisclosed in available sources.
Anchor Tenant Lineup
Rosamond Town Center's anchor roster includes Academy Sports + Outdoors, Aldi, Burlington, EOS Fitness, Hobby Lobby, HomeGoods, PetSmart and T.J. Maxx. The center will also feature outparcels and specialty stores.
Anna's Growth Trajectory
Anna's population is projected to grow 13 times faster than the national average over the next 10 years, according to the development team. The city's position along U.S. Highway 75, between McKinney and Sherman, places it within a high-growth corridor.
Anna Mayor Pete Cain described the project as a turning point for the city. "This is a really, really important milestone for the city of Anna," Cain said. "It changes everything — the retail and tax base with 750 jobs coming to us with this development."
Texas Representative Keresa Richardson, representing District 61, also spoke at the groundbreaking. "There is no greater way to celebrate America's 250th anniversary than to celebrate the growth that we're seeing in Texas, because Texas leads the way," Richardson said. "Anna is a place to be, and this is such a blessing."
The development team received a Congressional Commendation and an accompanying letter from U.S. Rep. Keith Self (R-TX), presented by District Director Michelle Bishop. "The collaboration between the City of Anna leadership, The Seitz Group and Big V Property Group is a model for what can be achieved when public leadership and private enterprise come together with a shared vision," Bishop read from the letter.
