Hillwood Urban Invests $20M in Autonomous Truck Bridge at Alliance Logistics Hub
Infrastructure Development Advances Autonomous Logistics
Hillwood Urban is investing $20 million in a private heavy-haul bridge at the Alliance Logistics District within the AllianceTexas development in North Fort Worth. The infrastructure project is designed to enable autonomous truck operations and heavy freight movement, connecting 15 million square feet of existing distribution, logistics, and manufacturing space to BNSF's Alliance intermodal facility.
The three-lane bridge over FM-156 is engineered to support heavy-haul operations. Construction is scheduled for completion by late 2026.
Alliance Logistics District Infrastructure
The bridge directly links the district's industrial space to BNSF's Alliance intermodal facility, which spans nearly 1,400 acres. The infrastructure is designed to support the movement of goods between the rail facility and warehouse operations.
According to Nicholas Konen, Vice President at Hillwood, the bridge project reinforces AllianceTexas as a logistics hub. The AllianceTexas development encompasses 27,000 acres.
