Scannell Properties Moves Forward on 1.1 Million-SF Ridgeway Logistics Park in Ellabell, Georgia

Scannell Properties announced June 16 that it is advancing development of Ridgeway Logistics Park, a 335-acre industrial park in Ellabell, Georgia, with the first phase consisting of a 1.1 million-square-foot speculative building. Site clearing, grubbing, and preparation are scheduled to begin this summer.

Project Overview and Location

Ridgeway Logistics Park is situated directly across from the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant and adjacent to a new Interstate 16 interchange expected to be completed in 2027. The park is also described as being in close proximity to the Port of Savannah.

Scannell Properties anticipates a multi-phase buildout of the industrial park, with multiple buildings totaling nearly four million square feet upon full completion.

Building Specifications

The initial speculative building will feature a 40-foot clear height, four drive-in doors, 234 dock positions, and 45 dock packages. The facility will also include parking for 338 trailers and 350 automobiles.

Scannell Properties' Presence in the Savannah Market

Ridgeway Logistics Park represents Scannell Properties' second major industrial park in the greater Savannah area. The company previously developed Rockingham Farms Logistics Park, a 450-acre industrial park in the region.
