Scannell Properties, WDG Real Estate Partners Break Ground on 35,756-SF Build-to-Suit Facility for Plateau Excavation in Douglas County, Georgia

Scannell Properties and WDG Real Estate Partners have commenced construction on a 35,756-square-foot build-to-suit field operations and maintenance facility in Douglas County, Georgia, for Plateau Excavation, a site infrastructure services provider active across the Southeast United States, the firms announced July 15, 2026.

The project, situated just west of Atlanta on a 13-acre parcel, is targeted for completion in the first quarter of 2027.

Facility Program and Site Details

The build-to-suit facility is divided into two primary components: 17,670 square feet of office and training simulator space, and an 18,086-square-foot maintenance facility. The 13-acre site also includes a 6-acre storage yard. Financial terms of the development, including construction costs and lease details, were not disclosed.
