Perry Homes Joins Brookfield Kolter at Solaeris, 3,300-Acre Port St. Lucie Master-Planned Community

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Perry Homes has joined Brookfield Kolter and partner builders to debut Solaeris, a 3,300-acre master-planned community west of Port St. Lucie, Florida, the company announced in October 2026. The community is planned to include up to 8,100 homes across 11 neighborhoods, along with commercial space, schools, parks and more than 700 acres of preserved land.
Brookfield Kolter hosted a celebratory event as the first public milestone for the development. Project partners and local elected officials joined other guests at the event, which featured renderings of the community, refreshments and live music, according to the announcement.
Solaeris Development Details
Solaeris is being developed by Brookfield Kolter Land Partners, the land-development affiliate associated with The Kolter Group. The site sits in western St. Lucie County, west of Port St. Lucie, north of Glades Cut Off Road and west of the planned Range Line Road extension.
The project is approved for up to 8,100 homes across 11 discrete neighborhoods and up to 650,000 square feet of commercial development, including shopping and dining near community entrances. Plans also call for schools and parks; one project overview identifies two K-8 schools. Perry Homes said Solaeris is the first project approved by St. Lucie County in almost 30 years.
The community is designed as multi-generational and mixed-use. It will feature scenic trail networks and other community amenities, and it is positioned for access to Interstate 95, the Florida Turnpike and Atlantic Coast beaches, according to the announcement.
Site work has begun in seven neighborhoods, and the community's main roads are nearing completion. The first model homes are scheduled to open in spring 2027.
Preservation and Planning Approach
More than 700 acres of pine and palm forest, waterways and other green space will be preserved within the community.
"The number one underpinning of this community is preservation. We wanted to preserve as much nature as we could, and then we formed the community around it," said Josh Long, vice president of planning and entitlement at Brookfield Kolter Land Partners. "Solaeris thoughtfully balances nature, convenience, recreation and choice, creating a place where life can unfold for generations to come."
Perry Homes Enters the Treasure Coast
Perry Homes is one of several builders participating in Solaeris. Others include Pulte Homes, D.R. Horton, K. Hovnanian, Meritage Homes, Ryan Homes, Taylor Morrison and Dream Finders Homes. Taylor Morrison is associated with a golf club and primary residential neighborhood, while Dream Finders is developing an active-adult community.
"Solaeris allows us to bring the Perry Homes experience to one of the most exciting new communities in the Treasure Coast," said Garrison Taska, Florida Division President of Perry Homes. "From the natural surroundings and amenities to the variety of neighborhoods, a lot of thought has gone into creating the community. The team at Perry Homes is excited to be one of the builders helping bring this vision to life."
Family-owned and operated since 1967, Perry Homes builds under the Perry Homes name across Texas and Florida, as well as under the Britton Homes name in select Dallas-Fort Worth communities and the Mastercraft Builder Group brand in select Jacksonville, Florida, communities. The company has built more than 70,000 homes in nine major markets in Texas and Florida and in more than 140 communities. It reports a 95 percent customer satisfaction rating from post-closing homeowner surveys over the last 12 months. Federal Reserve data showed seasonally adjusted permitting of approximately 382 units in August 2026, following roughly 383 units in July and 385 units in June.

The community's 11-neighborhood design and multi-builder structure will shape how the large entitlement is brought to market alongside the city's existing pipeline of approved but unbuilt housing units.
