GLP Group Opens Built-To-Suit Warehouse Expansion for Internationally Renowned Media and Entertainment Group at Shanghai's Lingang Park

GLP Group Group has completed and officially opened a new built-to-suit warehouse at GLP Lingang Park in Shanghai for an internationally renowned media and entertainment group, the company announced July 14, 2026. The development, paired with a renewal of the tenant's existing lease, expands the customer's footprint from a single warehouse to a dual-warehouse supply chain hub within the same logistics park — a configuration the company says enhances capacity, operational efficiency and flexibility.
A Decade-Long Partnership Deepens at GLP Lingang Park
The internationally renowned media and entertainment group first established operations at GLP Lingang Park in 2015. With the addition of the newly completed built-to-suit facility and the concurrent lease renewal, the tenant now operates two warehouses within the park, consolidating its China supply chain operations within a single integrated logistics park.
GLP Group described the expansion as enabling the customer to support continued business growth in China while benefiting from the continuity and resilience of operating within a single park environment. The company noted that as customers' supply chains become more complex, its role has evolved beyond providing warehouse space to enabling broader supply chain efficiency through infrastructure, operations and ecosystem services.
GLP supports customers' evolving needs through built-to-suit solutions tailored to customer growth and operational requirements, long-term leasing partnerships, flexible capacity within strategically located logistics parks, and operational and digital capabilities, according to the company.
GLP Lingang Park: Scale, Location and Specifications
GLP Lingang Park spans approximately 830,000 square meters of gross floor area and is described by GLP as one of China's largest and most advanced port-based logistics parks. Construction at the park began in 2005, and GLP has expanded it in step with customer demand since then.
The park's tenant base includes BMW, Volkswagen, Porsche, Kuehne+Nagel, Sinotrans, DB Schenker, C.H. Robinson and Kerry Logistics. The park provides proximity to port infrastructure, access to Shanghai's consumption and business centers, and connectivity across the Yangtze River Delta, according to GLP.
All new facilities at the park are designed and operated to meet GLP's ESG, sustainability and safety standards. The park carries internationally recognized certifications including LEED Gold, BREEAM Very Good and Factory Mutual Global standards.
GLP China's Broader Platform
GLP China describes itself as a new economy infrastructure investment manager with integrated capabilities in asset development and operations. As of December 31, 2025, its logistics and industrial portfolio comprises 50 million square meters of total space under management, including approximately 40 million square meters in operation across 70 cities, serving more than 2,500 customers. The company also ranks among China's top data center operators, with 1.4 gigawatts of secured IT capacity and approximately 1.3 gigawatts of renewable capacity under management, according to the company.
