UNIQLO, Simons and Aritzia to Take Former Nordstrom Space at Cadillac Fairview's CF Pacific Centre in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, BC (October 26, 2026) – Cadillac Fairview (CF) announced that UNIQLO, Simons and Aritzia will open stores at CF Pacific Centre in downtown Vancouver, redeveloping and occupying space formerly held by Nordstrom. Openings are planned between spring 2027 and 2028.
The announcement adds three fashion retailers to the downtown shopping centre at 701 West Georgia Street, which Cadillac Fairview describes as featuring more than 100 stores.
UNIQLO to Open First Downtown Vancouver Store at CF Pacific Centre
UNIQLO announced it will open its first downtown Vancouver location at CF Pacific Centre in spring 2027. The announcement coincides with the brand's 10th anniversary in Canada, following its debut at CF Toronto Eaton Centre in 2016.
The new flagship store will bring UNIQLO's LifeWear philosophy to downtown Vancouver, offering everyday clothing across dedicated sections for men, women, kids and babies, alongside seasonal collaborations and graphic T-shirts, according to the announcement.
Simons Plans 92,000-Square-Foot Store Across Three Floors
Simons, which has been a Canadian fashion destination since 1840 and has operated in West Vancouver since 2015, will open its first downtown Vancouver store at CF Pacific Centre in fall 2027. The store will span approximately 92,000 square feet across three floors.
The location will be Simons' 20th store nationwide and its second in British Columbia.
Aritzia Flagship Boutique Planned for 2028
Aritzia will open a new flagship boutique at CF Pacific Centre, a milestone for the Vancouver-based fashion company. The four-level, 40,000-square-foot space is tentatively set to open in 2028 and will feature the company's Everyday Luxury® essentials, according to Cadillac Fairview.
Cadillac Fairview Comment
"We are incredibly proud to support the growth of UNIQLO, Simons, and Aritzia across Canada with these premier locations at CF Pacific Centre," said Lillian Tummonds, Senior Vice President, Retail. "This major transformation reflects our shared commitment to creating unparalleled retail destinations, and we look forward to the energy and excitement these powerhouse brands will bring to the heart of downtown Vancouver."
Market Context for Downtown Vancouver Retail
The announced Simons and Aritzia space totals approximately 132,000 square feet, in addition to UNIQLO's footprint. The leasing program replaces a single department-store tenant with three fashion operators in the former Nordstrom block.
The commitments come as Vancouver's retail market operates in a slower-growth environment. CBRE's 2026 Canadian retail survey characterizes Metro Vancouver vacancy as stabilized across major retail formats, while citing limited new retail supply, weaker consumer spending, stagnant population and job growth, and slower leasing velocity. CBRE has identified Simons' Pacific Centre commitment as a notable market event.
Cushman & Wakefield reported downtown Vancouver retail vacancy in office towers of 9.9% in the first half of 2026. CF Pacific Centre competes with other Vancouver retail destinations, including Oakridge Park and Robson Street.
About CF Pacific Centre and Cadillac Fairview
CF Pacific Centre is consistently ranked among the top shopping centres in Canada by the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC), according to Cadillac Fairview.
Cadillac Fairview is an owner, operator, investor and developer of office, retail, multi-family residential, industrial and mixed-use properties in North America. It is wholly owned by the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan and has assets under management of $26 billion.
Outlook
The three openings are scheduled in sequence: UNIQLO in spring 2027, Simons in fall 2027 and Aritzia tentatively in 2028. Together, they will fill the space Nordstrom previously held at one of downtown Vancouver's principal shopping centres.
