UOL Group Develops 173-Room NoMad Hotel on Singapore's Orchard Road Ahead of Late-2026 Opening

UOL Group is developing a 173-room luxury hotel at 230 Orchard Road in Singapore, with reservations now open ahead of a planned late-2026 opening. The property, to be branded NoMad Hilton Singapore, will mark the NoMad brand's first location in Asia Pacific and expands Hilton's luxury lifestyle footprint in the region.
The project involves the redevelopment of the former Faber House building at the Cairnhill intersection along Orchard Road. Designed by Singapore architecture firm WOHA with interiors by Los Angeles-based Kevin Klein Design, the hotel will span a 10,225-square-metre footprint. A cascading waterfall and verdant vertical façade are central to the building's biophilic design identity.
Property Specifications and Room Configuration
The hotel will feature 173 guest rooms across 12 levels, including 25 suites. The room mix comprises 71 "Atelier" rooms at approximately 32 square metres each, with a living area and bathtub; 42-square-metre "Parlour Suites"; and 43-square-metre "NoMad Suites." Interiors incorporate rich marble, burlwood, custom wool rugs, and paravent screens, with pale blue and green walls referencing Peranakan shophouse design traditions found in the nearby Emerald Hill enclave.
The arrival experience is positioned on the fifth level, where guests enter an open-air reception. The Lù bar extends from the reception onto a terrace and pool overlooking Orchard Road. The property is located minutes from Singapore's Central Business District.
Food and Beverage Programming
The hotel's dining and bar program spans multiple concepts across the building. The NoMad Grill, positioned at the summit of the property, features ornamental columns and a tin-coffered ceiling and is described as a New York chophouse adapted for Singapore, with a menu anchored by dry-aged meats cooked over wood fire alongside a raw bar and seasonal seafood.
The Tropicana Club, a craft cocktail bar, draws from the aesthetic of Havana's Tropicana Club, which opened in 1939, and Singapore's own Tropicana Club, which opened in 1968. At street level, Sticky Fingers will offer house-made gourmet soft-serve sundaes.
Art Program and Community Partnerships
The hotel will feature a collection of more than 1,860 artworks, with approximately 90% created by Singapore-based artists. The collection spans oil on copper, acrylic photography, large-scale bas-relief installations, street photography, floral compositions, and historical ephemera. The curation is intended to connect the building's contemporary exterior with its layered interiors through a distinctly Singaporean cultural lens.
As part of the art program, NoMad Singapore is commissioning artists with disabilities in partnership with ART:DIS, a non-profit organization that advocates for greater access to the arts for persons with disabilities. The partnership builds on UOL Group's existing support of ART:DIS.
Brand Context and Market Positioning
The Singapore property will join NoMad's London outpost, which launched in 2021. The development aligns with Hilton's stated strategy to grow its luxury and lifestyle segment in Asia Pacific. For UOL Group, the project represents a repositioning of a core Orchard Road asset into a high-end hospitality use.
"Singapore demonstrates a distinctive capacity for synthesis, whereby global influences are interpreted, integrated, and adapted until something entirely original emerges — locally grounded and unique to its setting," said Kristen Millar, chief brand officer, NoMad. "Building on its signature culturally influenced approach to luxury hospitality, NoMad's first hotel in Asia brings diverse elements into thoughtful dialogue: natural and urban environments, heritage and modernity, and the colloquial and cosmopolitan."
Reservations for NoMad Hilton Singapore are currently open through Hilton's booking platform.
